"I am too. And you what?" He looked at Austin. "Koi, I think I can tell him now. I might as well get it off my shoulders now so that the journey will feel a bit lighter and I can become more useful." He was ready to explain to Anei why he left.

Anei looked confused. "Well, only 10 years have passed."
"I see." Sokras relaxed. "Anei, remember the day I left and never returned?"

"That...was a lie." Sokras explained. "You see, I hated how you treated me. That is, you always called me a 'little brother'. You never saw, nor knew how I truly felt." He put a hand ovre his chest. "Sure, we fought alot, but it was only because I looked up to you in a way I hadn't quite understood at the time."

"Yeah. I did. A lot." Sokras looked back at Anei. "I realized it the moment I finished that off-world mission. I planned to come back and tell you. To let know my feelings. But then you introduced her." His eyes were starting to water.

Sokras waited until he was sure he wouldn't cry. "Don't apologize. It wasn't your fault. Just my own lateness and stupidity. When I saw how happy you were with her, I decided not to ruin. But at the same time, I didn't trust myself to stay in your presence any more. And thus I, removed my self from the picture." Sokras finished and leaned against Austin, exhausted of breath from the windy explanation.

Sokras sighed, relaxing at Austin's ministrations. "So when Austin and I chanced upon this place, your village, I didn't want to face. I didn't think I could pull it off. So I asked Austin to find me a disguise."

Austin smiled as he hugged Sokras and kissed the top of his head lightly. "I suppose we did." anei said smiling lightly. "I'm happy you have someone to love you."
