I see, hopefully they wont discontinue it. It is a great magizine, and I really enjoyed it. 3nodding

I believe there was a kids version, but not sure how far back or that there may still be a kids version still.

You'll be glad to know that Kids NG subscriptions are still being offered. I'm glad this topic came up here -- I've been going to the web site to watch videos and read articles.

Very Good, it is a good magizine and is an exciting and informative way to learn about the world and places. ^8^

*whew*
Reading back, you guys had me really scared and uncharacteristically furious for a second. However, it is well with my soul now. 3nodding

Even though I haven't subscribed to NG for years, I do buy some back issues at the annual library sale, and keep some faves. So I'm especially glad they're going to keep publishing after all. They fund some very worthwhile research and it's good employment for the best photographers.

I'm glad all is well in the world and with your soul, Jello.

*chuckle* Yeah Giesta, we sure do cover a wide variety of topics here, don't we. I always look forward to seeing what's on your mind.

3nodding I do as well, every now and again I pick up a few National Geographic magizines from our Liberary and also a few odds and ends books.

3nodding Also, glad things are going well, Jello ^8^.

Thx, Harvey

I do enjoy talking about a whole range of things, and I enjoy talking with you as well. 3nodding

It's unsettling to wake up as I did today and discover I slept through hail, lightening, tornadoes, thunder. Did it hit your area?

In the past I have slept threw storms, but the other day it only came a pretty bad wind and a heavy rain for the most part.

It's good you didn't get a tornado. A few miles away from me mobile homes were lifted up and thrown down yards away. Nobody died. Amazing. And these things tend to bring out the best in people, helping each other.

3nodding Very Happy no-one died or got seriously hurt.

Yes, often when it comes down to it there are most always communities that will band together to help eveyone. biggrin

The high winds brought me a gift -- a faded red child's plastic chair with one of the legs broken off. The neighbor across the way got a matching chair.

I don't think the wind carried away anything essential from my yard. Maybe an empty flower pot.

The winds favor you, it seems. xp

Oh yeah, the winds definitely favor me. If not for the unplanned item swap with the neighbors, then definitely for not pushing in my roof.

And the gift of the broken plastic mini-chair... what can I say. No redneck lawn is complete without junk in the yard. Now all I need is a plastic pink lawn flamingo. rofl
