Relgan turned to see the merchant who gave him the swords in the first place. "Ah, you must be wanting these back now. I thank you for lending them to me. Without them my troops would've all been killed." "Keep em. I've been trying to get rid of the things for years now." "...What are you talking about? Surely there must've been someone you could've sold such magnificent weapons to." "It'd be best if I explained everything from the beginning..." The merchant said. "A long time ago there was an elemental master who's sole purpose in life was to protect others. Great tales were told of his accomplishments but when it finally came to be his time to die, he sealed his power within enchanted swords. Each with its own life, will, and believe it or not personality. So he sent his servant out to give the swords to someone that could control the power of the four swords. He ended up searching his entire life for someone to give the powerful blades to but he never could find a warrior that was right. Either they lacked power or they lacked purpose. And when it was also his time to die he convinced the swords to be given to someone else that would help find a suitable owner...that's when he found me. A travelling merchant. Who better to find someone than someone who goes everywhere for a living. I spent years travelling with the swords as companions searching for someone to give them to. And none were worthy enough until I found you..."

Damn... Chimerus thought. I've seriously underestimated that thing... Ragged wounds covered his entire body, as he dragged himself away from Treebend, leaving behind a trail of glistening ichor. Collapsing at the side of the road, he gasped for breathe, heaving uncontrollably. General Ranquebus... How much longer will it take... In the distance, Chimerus could still see faint shadows snaking around the town walls of Treebend, waiting for a living being to approach them. I hope the Council has an answer to the thing they've unleashed...

"And just how do you know so much about these swords if you were never able to use them?" "The voices in your head will come soon enough." The merchant said with a slightly wicked grin. "Well could you explain exactly how they work?" Relgan asked. "Of course. Each sword as I'm sure you know controls an element mastered by the mage as I'm sure you've figured out already. Plus they'll increase your fighting abilities since they each have their own skill fighting in unison with your own. Plus when touched together they'll combine their powers to create the 4 secondary elements. But nothing will happen if one touches its opposite element. Also their power is limited. Once they reach that limit they can't control elements any longer although they will still remain sharp and unbreakable. To regain power they must be in contact with their own element. The wind blade charges slowly when simply left out but quickly if there is a strong wind opposing it. The earth will charge slowly just by being stuck into the ground but will charge quicker if stuck in a tree even though the tree will be drained. The water blade's charge speed depends on how large the body of water it is exposed to is. And the fire blade is slightly different. It doesn't just become exposed to fire, it absorbs it. And that is how the 4 swords work." Relgan nodded his head. "I thank you merchant. With these weapons I will be able to save many people." "One more thing...always remain in control. You control the swords but you must never put all of your hope into them...for once you do they will possess your body forever." The merchant walked out the door and went on his way.

((OOC: I am unable to access the internet at any time during this week (Same for Ra-ezelle). Sorry for the inconvenience at such a pivotal moment.
Edit: Well dang... I just read the three pages since my last post and I think the whole story Ra-ezelle and I had set up with Vivian and Roth will have to wait a bit. Guess that means you have more time to learn a bit about Roth, eh?
Request: Could we "freeze" the main story for a bit. You see, Ra-ezelle and I had to get away from reality for a while or else we were going to go crazy... (Yes we are friends in real life.) Again, I'm sorry about this and wi-fi is hard to come by on the road.))

Relgan had ordered his troops to go back to Kujin. However he recieved a carrier pidgeon telling him to scout out treebend and see if it was still dangerous. He walked out of the village and saw chimerus on the ground bleeding. Relgan pulled out his earth blade and held it to Chimerus's throat. "What are you doing here?" He asked quietly but angry.

"What am I doing here?" Chimerus chuckled cynically. "What does it look I'm doing? I'm dying, you fool. The thing at Treebend was stronger than any of us had predicted. You might as well give up the town for good. No living beings there anyways... Run away now, little commander, and tell your leaders to stay away from the city." Calling up the last remnants of his strength, Chimerus vanished in a burst of flame into the night.

Relgan growled at himself. Unable to defend towns and unable to get any information on what he was dealing with. He was tired of failing. He wanted to succeed at something for once in a long time.

Vivian fliched as her blade whiped through the air, destroying a rock with no problem at all. Now this man wanted to know where she had gotten the daggers. All she did was shrug slightly. Vivian had absolutely no idea where they came from. All she knew was that they were in her possesion as long as she could remember, never giving it a second thought.
/ooc= Hey guys! We're back! You no longer have to worry about me going completely insane and possibly killing everyone within a ten mile radius of my house. Anyway, I'm using Zero Aura's rediculously slow lap top at the moment so we're gonna be relatively active today. Let's see where imagination takes us!/

Kaleel was on top of a roof drinking a bottle of wine and looking down on the city like he normally does.

"Very well then," Dealthi shrugged nonchalantly. Taking the other out of his belt, he laid both of them on the ground before Vivian. "Come on, Purity." Leading his disobedient white horse back to the mouth of the cave, Dealthi looked back and smiled. "It was nice meeting you, Vivian." The gray clouds overhead foretold of stormy weather, as the air felt humid and cloistering outside. Treebend... he thought. The Council has finally made a mistake, eh? The lonely demon turned and began to head back into the forest from where he came.

Marrianna shook her head as she sat on a large rock at their encampment. The battle was a complete loss. Only a few minutes after engaging with the enemy did the golden light armor she was wearing did the armor break. She took one hell of a beating after that. Marrianna held her bandaged arm and looked out over both the wounded and surprisingly unscathed as one answer eluded her. "Why were the demons so panicked..."
