Reaper sighed slightly. "To recap the previous conversation I had while you were sleeping...I have a god-like stalker, apparently the one who created this whole fun world. Though he won't say what he want's from me, he continues to torture me until I figure out what it is he wants. And he won't leave me alone. This is the only place he apparenly can't get into." he replied. Agian, he turned his attention elsewhere to keep from letting his eyes wander over her. What the heck was wrong with him all of a sudden?
"And even after that's all taken care of and I get to leave, I'm pretty much going to be on a leash. So I still won't have complete freedom."

Cat felt a sudden surge of empathy. "Mine's actually very similar, except he's sort of... the opposite of Godlike. That and I know exactly what he wants," she added, making a face. Then she cocked her head, her eyes distant, like she was trying to remember something. After a second or two, she snapped her fingers. "Tea." With that, she spun around and walked back into the kitchen to grab her mug.

Reaper again watched her walk back into the kitchen, and again had to force himself to look away. What the bloody hel-
Then it clicked. He had Blood again...which amplified certain emotions and urges. Which meant that...he would probably have mood swings and such that he was going to have to try to get used to again. Wait...oh, son of a- this crap was going to turn him into his father, wasn't it?
"We're in about the same boat then." Reaper said, trying to get his mind off of his thoughts. He then realized that he had balled both fists into tight fists as he had been thinking. He loosened them and turned back to the kitchen. "What does your new friend want? If you don't mind me asking."

"Offspring," she replied offhandedly as she came back into the living room, trying to sound as though it didn't matter very much. "I suppose it's partially my own fault; wear a costume like mine to distract people, and eventually it's going to grab the attention of someone you'd like to see boiled alive in oil." Oh, and would she ever. Or stabbed multiple times. Or shot in the kneecaps. Or dropped from twenty stories up. Or...

Reaper shifted slightly in the couch. He felt as though he should say something...nice...but he really couldn't think of anything to argue what she had said. That was an easy way to attract the wrong kind of attention.
He also felt like commenting on all the rather fun thoughts running through her head, but knew not to. She'd already stated that she didn't like her head being poked though. And honestly, he hated it himself. A lot.
"So you have to rely on the rather busy sorcerer to take care of him."

Cat sank down into a chair without really realizing that she was doing it, and tried a sip of tea. ... Perfect. "Exactly," she said flatly, "And-- let's be honest-- I'm perfectly safe. The only thing I'm in danger from is my own boredom. Why should I be top priority?" Just voicing the thought aloud was frustrating enough that she thought setting her mug down would be a good idea. After a second, she cocked her head again. It was somehow a very cat-like motion... although curious expression on her face probably helped with that impression. "So... What do you do? Aside from digging around in people's heads, drinking blood with your fingers, and cursing at random intervals, of course."

Reaper paused a moment, then chuckled lightly. "Oh, that. I actually have a few duplicates of myself outside of here. The man seems to have no interest in decoys, so he le...well, he didn't have an interest in my decoys. I have a bit of a connection with them, and my random spat earlier is when something unpleasant happened to some of them. Namely them getting killed." he replied. Then paused a moment again. "As for what I do...well, I'm far from being anything that could be considered a 'good guy'. Trust me, you'll be out of here long before I am."

If anything, Cat looked even more interested. "Not good meaning...? Murdering innocent women and children in cold blood? Killing particularly obnoxious heroes? Killing particularly obnoxious villains? I find it kind of hard to believe that the Doctor would have bothered with saving you in the first place if you were completely depraved."

"That pretty much sums it up, yes." Reaper replied. "That and the fact that I can absorb various powers through blood." he said, then shrugged. "And it beats me why he's keeping me from the guy. Felt sorry for me? Finds it ammusing at how annoyed this whole thing's making me? Though he did mention something about being interested in why I saved some kid on the street. Who knows."

"Oh, yes," Cat sighed, looking half amused, half deeply annoyed, "The man LOVES puzzles, from what I understand. I suppose it must be difficult to find things that can confuse him, at this point." She paused, trying to figure out how to verbalize her next thought. "So... Why do you do it? All the killing and maiming, I mean," she added. "I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but I've never really gotten the chance to talk to a homicidal maniac before." She grinned impishly. "Well... I guess I've sort of had a conversation with Goblin before... as he was chucking bombs at me. It was mostly insane cackling on his side," she added confidingly, "Very disappointing." So she was curious. Spider-man wasn't there to advice caution, so... Who needed it?

Reaper blinked a moment. The question caught him off guard a bit. No one had ever asked him that before. Not like that anyway. Just a plain old question. No accusing tones, no judging...
"Well...I can't speak for the entire bloody community," he started. "But as far as I go...I can honestly, and seriously say that I was born this way. I won't get into my lengthy family history, but just know that I was born with a serious problem, which wasn't caught until I was about five or six. I just...had a fasination with blood. It was my favorite toy. And you can imagine how well a high status and public father took to that. My mother was the only thing that kept me around the house. When she lost what sanity she had, I was sent away for the remainder of my life. My 'problem' didn't get any better. And I soon became jealous of the love my stepbrother was getting from my father. The freaking perfect son. Well he dissapears one day, and who do you think gets blamed. Not only was I dissowned, but daddy sent me to live in one of his funded laboratories. For the next very long years of my life, I was experimented on until I was anything but human.

By the end of the explanation, Cat looked absolutely furious. That was... horrendous. That made what had happened to her look like... a nice date! What the hell... What kind of FATHER...?! It was sort of like... what was that condition... Antisocial personality disorder. If your kid was a sociopath, YOU GOT HIM HELP. You didn't leave him on his own to get WORSE, and you certainly didn't EXPERIMENT on him!!! Even Magneto sounded like a nicer person than..."Wow," she said finally. There didn't seem to be much else to say. What he had just described...

Reaper looked at her a moment, then gave her an honest smile. "Like I said...I can't talk on behalf of all sociopaths...but you can understand why I'm not a 'people person.' That I don't put much value on anything, let alone life. I never had one." he said

"No kidding," Cat replied after a moment, and then blinked. He'd been in her head again-- at least enough to know that she'd been thinking about sociopaths. ... Somehow, she found it kind of hard to care right then. "Well... I don't think any of the bad guys I know have excuses like that," she continued finally, "Which is good. Feeling guilty about kicking... Carnage's a** would be too screwed up to even think about." Still shaking with anger, she picked up her cup and took a sip of tea. If she ever got her hands on this person, she was killing him. Spider-man could yell at her all he wanted; if he'd done that to his own kid, she didn't even want to think about what he'd done in addition. Just the thought gave her goosebumps. Ugh.

Reaper shifted again in his seat and glanced away a moment. "I know you said you don't like it, and I don't blame you, I hate it myself...but it's a new power and I'm actually trying to figure out how to turn it off. But..." he began, turning back to her. "I wouldn't worry about him. He's next to impossible to kill. I've tried. And as much as he likes a pretty face, he wouldn't hesitate to damage one."
