"-facepalms-" is not a correct expression according to the English language rules, Reisen. Thus, your whole post is irrelevant. xd

"Ol" and "'em" are not words, what you said is irrelevant.

Ah, but one can substitute an apostrophe for certain letters. In this case, I dropped the "d" in "Old", and the "Th" in "Them".
You however, did not use them, so if we go by the insane troll logic that grammar nazis use, it is your statment that is invalid.

Anyway, what I was actually talking about was that all that time I could have been the "I don't particularly care for what you posted so I'll disregard what you said and insult your poor grasp of English at the same time" type of Grammar Nazi. I wonder why I didn't think of that before I found out that type existed.

Those kinds of grammar nazis are the best to be messing with, especially since it's often quite easy to poke holes in what they say by reversing it on them. As I demonstrated earlier.
They're really not much better than certain trolls, but with a decidely linguistic flavor. Which makes that sort of grammar nazi the most fun to mess with, since it only requires one to know about reversals, something I specialize in.

I see... what's so bad about requiring ALL serious posts to be posted in the best English the person is capable of AT ALL TIMES and pointing out everything the person did wrong if the person is lazy when the English teacher is away?

I would love to find a thread in which the first post not only said something I didn't like but also used a non-word such as "smexy" or "bby", obviously bad grammar, or bad spelling. rofl
Then I could say all of the person's words were meaningless and/or worthless because the person had a poor grasp of English, quoting the parts that were poorly written. rofl
You're probably going to do exactly that with my post, but oh well. I'm used to ignoring responses I don't like since I tend to have opinions people don't like.

I always hated grammer nazis, probably cause I was so bad with my english (which is sad since it is the only language I am fluent in). But if one were to disregard a statement on the basis of a grammer mistake while understanding the intent, I think they are missing the point of the langauge; communication. Language is something of a living thing and is constatnly being reinterpreted by each new generation. The stanardize english of today is vastly diffrent from the standards of previous generations. If you get too caught up in the details you miss the big picture. In the end I think you end up looking kind of foolish. I got to stop ranting and get back to making small touhou jokes.

To me, rules and grammar are more important than intent and getting the idea across. That being said, learning other languages HAS affected my own usage of English (for instance, Japanese treats spoken words as a sentence within a sentence, and English does not for some reason). I am aware of the hypocrisy, but do not care.
