Karla blush, which had almost gone away, came back.
Ellie raised an eyebrow as she crossed her arms. "I wasn't flirting with him. I was just talking."

"Nope." Ellie said, then she uncrossed her arms. "Anyways, I wanted to talk to Karla, so I'll be borrowing her. You don't mind, right?" She already grabbed Karla's hand. "Come on, Karla," she said as she began to walk away.
"Um, okay," Karla said as she was pulled along.

Ellie took Karla to the far back end of the deck. "Okay, so, tell me what happened!"
Karla was blushing again. "E-Everything?"
"Yup." Ellie nodded. "Please! Start with the confessions and go all the way up to now."
Karla looked around first. They were far away from everyone, so no one should be able to hear them. "Alright." Then she told Ellie how the two confessed to each other, the dancing, the kiss, and everything in between.

Ellie was surprised to hear that Travis had basically forced the kiss on Karla. "Were you scared?"
Karla knew what she was asking about. "Only in the very beginning... But he didn't mean to scare me."
Ellie frowned slightly and stood up. (The two had been sitting on the deck chairs.) "I'll be right back," she said as she walked off.
"Okay..." Karla said.
Ellie kept walking until she reached Travis.

Ellie was instantly in front of Travis and, without warning, she punched the wall next to his head very hard. "What's this about you pinning Karla to the wall?" she asked him.

Ellie pulled back her fist from the wall, her knuckles bleeding. She held her injured hand, now frowning instead of glaring at Travis. "I was surprised to hear that was what happened." Then she said, "And I'm even more surprised that Karla didn't have a heart attack."
