"It's your Lord who should apologize, nya!" Perisie says. "Still, I guess YOU are OK!" she says, licking her lips at the prospect of chocolates, and taking them from him.

"Quite the paladin for a demon, eh, Peri-chan razz ?" Evangeline says, leaning towards her and talking out the side of her mouth.

"Nya! Mistress, don't do that - it reminds me too much of Etna-sama!" Perisie half-protests.

"It's a combination of common sense and spending a life with Vyers." Beelze admitted, rising. "Now, lets go. That last battle was very humilating and I need to burn something."

Stepping forward, the cliff gave way, dropping him down a very high height and dunting him with many rocks, the only upshot being it left him near the town.

"Now I need to burn many things..."

"May I suggest that for now it's calories, getting to town?" Evangeline asks. "It's kind of bad form to burn up buildings right now when we're hunting for shops, and all" smile

He felt better.

Incirating whiny people often made him feel better.

He could stand them bad mouthing the Overlord, he was a bit temtped to join in, but starting on his vassals was below the belt.

Okay, being below the belt didn't really bother him, but at the last Top Vassal General Meeting, they decided that, 'yes, incierating, freezing, blowing up etc of whiny preachers who are dissing other head vassals is perfectly acceptable as they count as refuge.'

Okay, they didn't really need a 'perfectly acceptable reason' to blow people up, they just needed to do something that looked like work before raising havok.

The 'acceptable reason' part did come in handy though in explaining the mushroom cloud-esque maneuver that had obliterated the sight where the tourist information officer had been.

Exiting before security entered, and having aquired a map of the town, Beelze looked at it for a few moments.

"So...where are we going?"

Being a telepath (as all Nosferatu are) Evangeline smirked: "He's almost as devious as I am."

After all, having vassals of rival Overlords work with her and manipulated was part and parcel of Etna's grand design: to eventually become Overlord herself.

ooc: I don't get what thought you read?

Oddly enough, though not psychic, Beelze had begun admiring the long racks of poison's in the apothocary.

He then remembered that this had failed last time Etna tried to bump the Overlord off, and decided to go for something more useful.

After becomming horribly distracted by a poster for the next Lilith Tsul movie (Zombardment), Beelze made an effort to engage in conversation with Evangeline. Partly to get to know his companion better, and partly to try and work out a good gift.

"So Lady Evangeline...why the battle cry of 'protect this Netherworld'? Sounds like something that Goron would say."

"Well, considering what happened with that human fleet invading us last time, plus that business with interfering moustached Archangel, I feel we fiends should band together and ensure we make it difficult for such events to come to pass again. It even took the Overlord a long time to make it back to his original form after being turned into a prinny at the end of the Celestia business," Evangeline says.

(OOC: Vampires are inherently telepathic, not just in "Negima!", but in quite a bit of folklore, also, so I include this ability. Just remember to keep your "surface thoughts" separate from your "deeper" ones wink )

ooc: I know vampires can read minds, well, some can. I just didn't get 'what' she read. I also apologise for not knowing any of the alternate endings in the game.

"Really. That's not how I heard it all ended." Beelze scratched his head, continuing on by Evangeline's side. "In any case, the nature of the Netherworld is chaos, that's what makes it so fun." He cast his eyes to the sky. "We are darkness and chaos, and Celestia is light and order. No matter what they preach about being good, a bunch of em' are just drones. Down here we're free."

He grinned as a daemon came shooting out a bar window, promptly pulling himself up and being knocked down by a red skull who was tossed through after him.

"And we gotta habit of trying to mash anyone who steps on our toes."

His grin widened as the two began brawling there, only stopping when the one who'd tossed them could be seen at the bar door, then the two rushed and crashed into him.

"And despite our internal struggles, when someone steps on all our toes, we crush em good."

This was evidenced by the wails of the daemon being beaten down by the vengeful pair.

"Pshaw! Some angels pontificate about being good and that demons are evil - only Flonne seemed to finally learn, for all her annoying 'Love' talk," Evangeline says, skilfully dodging flying furniture by giving herself the consistency of a shadow with her cloak, while shielding Perisie at the same time (since the latter's no mage).

A flying chair was caought and tossed it back through the windo, elicitating a rather a rather satisfactory squealch of pain.

"Good and evil are based solely upon perceptions. What we truly represent is order and chaos. And even with that, elements of the other exist within our socities. Here we have the system with the Overlord and the Lesser Lords governing the Netherworld and her provencies, while Heaven still allows some free will among it's members, allowing them to indulge in some personnal actions."

His eyes glanced back to Lucid, was this angel here as a mission, or as a personnal action? If it was an order, there was likely more going on here than first realised.

"The greatest of all of these is the prized concept of 'love' which stems from chaos." Beelze finished, not breaking a beat over the dreaded 'L' word.

"Well, as Flonne once said, angels and demons aren't inherently good or evil - you even get chaos among celestials and order among fiends", Evangeline adds, still in demi-shadow form to protect Perisie from flying objects. As for 'love from chaos' - isn't that, rather 'lust' especially as in 'lust for power'?"

She looked warily at Lucid, also suspecting there was something about this angel's attitude than met the eye, but keeping her peace for now.

"No, I don't." Beelze replied, as they left the range of the bar brawl, he paused to look over a collection of rather painful looking torture knives. "Love is chaotic in it's nature. It can manifest anytime, and it exists outside of concious command." Dissmissing them as impractical and over priced, he carried on. "Love can also breed chaos. We can act irrationally due to it and even defy the basic rules of self preservation."

Saying that made his pendant feel heavier, but he ignored it.

DarkEvangeline shrugs. "To each their own. At least it's been said rather differently from that 'Love-Freak". She catches a skull-handled dagger in mid-air. "Hmmm...Made of balrog bone. I already have six of these." Tossing away the dagger, which lands perilously close to a stray cat which had been lapping stray beer from the floor, she continues ahead.

And so they wandered on, looking at stalls, deeming them useless, dodging/engaging in fights, until they came to a shop that looked weird even in the Netherworld.

It was tall, scraggly, and smelt of something not quite right. No daemon in their right mind would have walked in there.

Unfortunatly for said party, they had a poster up advertising the latest Lilith Tsul movie.

"LILY~SU!" Beelze beamed, darting straight into the shop.

Being a vampire of sound mind, Evangeline looked around, then gently stepped into the shop, making sure all was what it seemed. Perisie followed quietly, as cats (or, in this case, catGIRLS) were wont to do.
