"We need blood and water," Durithill said between bites of steak, "the feather of an angel, and a leaf from the tree of life, if I remember correctly." Durithill finished up his steak and swallowed the remained of the meat. Unlike humans, the jaws of wolves were built more for tearing rather than chewing, so he tended to eat most foods whole. "It's for the potion to keep Daniel from turning to stone from the inside out." he added as he began licking the juice off of the plate.

Synthic motioned to Durithill with a thumb, "What he said."
Amaranth knew this because it was explained to them in the hotel, "But isn't the Tree of Life extinct? Where would it be?"

Daniel looked away as they spoke of his illness. He sure was causing a whole commotion all about him. He wasn't used to being the center of attention. But he knew there wasn't going to be much hope. The Tree of Life is extinct and has been for a long time. Daniel looked over to Renata. He gave her a small smirk. He felt bad he was probably causing her to worry about him. And Renata, being the person he was mostly attached too in the group, was the last to know that he was.. well.. dying.

"I can make the potion, but I have no idea where we can find that tree, if it still existed," Synthic said, "Should I just wish for it instead?" She brought the question up again. She didn't want to, but if it was to save Daniel's life...She had a feeling that Renata would not refuse a wish like that. And it's not like she was wishing for the cure. She could make that once all the ingredients are in place.

Durithill finished cleaning the last bit of nutrition off of his plate before sitting down. "What is this 'Tree of Life' anyway?" he asked suddenly, looking around at the group. Obviously it had to be some special kind of tree, or else they could just head to a forest. But by the way they were talking about it, and the fact that they said it was extinct, Durithill could guess that it was some one of a kind tree. "And if you're going to wish for a leaf from this tree to make a potion to cure Daniel, why not just wish he was cured instead?" he questioned. It made a whole lot more sense to him to do it that way. Instead of making a wish and taking time to brew a potion, they could just get rid of the problem. It would save a lot of time.

Now that Durithill was a bit more alert, he noticed the aroma wafting over from the strange food on the tray in the room. "What is that?" he asked curiously, pointing with a claw at the pizza. It was some strange kind of thing he had never encountered before. Although, that wasn't hard considering he had spent most of his life secluded from the world. He could pick out the smell of cheese, tomatoes, and a variety of other things coming from it, and it pretty much completely distracted his attention from the issue at hand. Poisons, potions, cures and whatnot he knew about, but this was something strange and new.

Synthic raised a brow in question when Durithill asked what the pizza was, "Want to try it? It's pizza," As she did, she made the assumption that he would want to give it a try, "Don't worry, there's no sugar in it like candy," She joked and took Durithill's plate. She put a slice down on the plate and then put it back on the floor for Durithill. The pizza had a variety of meat on it, so she figured he would like it.
She thought it was strange though for a human to not know about something like that, but she guessed that he was(and kind of still is) secluded from the world and society in general.

Durithill watched silently as Synthic served him a slice of pizza. It definatly smelled good, and it was covered in different types of meat. He tentatively tore off a piece of the food and chewed it for a bit before swollowing. It tasted as delicious as it smelled. There were so many different tastes that it was like his mouth was being overwhelmed with flavor. Durithill quickly gobbled up the rest of the slice and licked the rest of the sauce and grease off the plate.

Daniel's head popped up when he heard Synthic mention getting the last ingredient with a wish. Now there was a bit more hope. He had forgotten about Renata's wishing powers for a moment. "Could that really work?" He asked in surprise, having not though of it himself.

"From how I see it, we have no other choice," Synthic said, "I don't want to wish something that I can get myself, but I know when I'm defeated. I know that I can't get a leaf from an extinct tree like that. I won't wish for the cure or for Daniel to be cured. I will make it happen with my own two hands. However, I would have to make a more easier wish as well, so I could get the tools to extract my blood," Finally, we were getting somewhere! "Did you like that?" She asked Durithill.

Daniel nodded to Synthic. His eyes watered a bit though. "Thanks, Synthic." He said with a sparkle of happiness in his eyes. Synthic was so determined to make the cure for him. It made him happy and made him feel, well, important and not just a burden.

"It's like nothing I've ever tasted." Durithill said with a small nod as he sat back down again. It was easier for him to eat standing up in his current form, so he almost automatically did it now. Durithill suddenly hung his head over the bucket again as he started coughing violently once more.

Renata's inside dropped into a cold abyss as the words turning to stone inside out echoed out of Durihill's mouth and into her ears. She had almost hoped her brain didn't interpret it into sound, but of course, it had. Her heart gave an ache, not understanding why no one mentioned anything before hand, otherwise she would have made sure things got done faster and sooner instead of putting Daniel through more pain over time. But she lifted her eyes with a sort of hope and determination. There was no point in sulking here, they needed action, because they could do this. And they were right, they could probably just wish for any ingredients or the cure or what not and help Daniel out. She just had to make sure of one thing before everyone got their hopes too high. "You know the purpose of the leaf right? Just, keep it in mind while wishing for it," she advised. One time, an alchemist of the people who had kidnapped her years ago, had wished for some sacred ingredient, he had heard of but by name and had no earthly idea what he even hoped it did, them combined with a mis pronunciation, all that had come out what how it imaged it- a simple white root herb, that had no real properties or characteristics. Of course, he had blamed her and gotten furious at her, not saying what he did about that, but she ha learned. Keep in mind what you want. But they knew what they wanted. They wanted what ever property it was that helped heal Daniel.

Zayne listened intently upon every word spoken, taking it in, and working through the few words he didn't quite, understand. But what seemed to lighten the mood considerably, was the wolf. He was chowing down pizza like it was heaven on a plate. He couldn't help, but to chuckle. He had been similar when he had first discovered pizza. Leaving the inner forest, he had gone out to civilization, as they called it, and had stopped by many places on his way to recruit himself. Pizza, it was said, was offered everywhere and he loved it.

Synthic nodded, "I never seen such a leaf before. Someone else will have to wish it," right when she said that Amaranth did just that, having seen it in both dreams and in books.
"I wish I have the leaf of the tree of life," Amaranth said strongly.

Durithill's eyes twitched when he heard a chukle and his fierce yellow eyes, which had new regained a bit of their usualy cold fury now that he had eaten, snapped over to glare at Zayne. "You got a problem?" he challenged, thinking that Zayne was laughing at him. "I lived in a forest my whole life, alright? I haven't even seen any of this stuff." Of course, he didn't know that Zayne had been in the same boat as him at one point. After all, all he knew about the guy was that he was Renata's brother, and for that matter he didn't even know that much about her, except that she granted wishes. Durithill scowled and waited for Zayne's reply.

Zayne smirked half way, holding back another roll of laughter from escaping his throat. So defensive this guy, well, wolf. "Nah, but it sounds like you do," he said lightly, his eyes gleaming with forest mischief like they once had, though they had lone gone a fairly dry, yet bold green. "I was the same way not long ago when I left my forest for the first time," he admitted with a slim shrug of the shoulders, his accent prominent upon his voice. Finally though, he turned his attention to Amaranth's voice beside her and fell quiet instantly.

Renata, dangled feet hanging over the side of the plush bed, still nibbling at her first slice of pizza, seemed to just chill while Synthic and Amaranth decided who was to make the wish. She was sure Synthic could have wished it, because it wasn't about seeing, it was about desire, want. But it was better safe then sorry always. And as the words tumbled off of Amaranth's lips, the magic around her trickled through her familiar once again.

A reassurance of the wells of power within her soul, well, part of her soul actually. It surged up, in a rich greenness she could feel with all her senses like a green light hardly visible around her to the untrained eye. Not closing her eyes as they watched to match the bright, rich green color, specks of gold and silver fringed around the pupil and outer edges. Shutting her dark lashes over her eyes, the magic tugged at the very air, pulling, feeling for existence. There was none, as she had known. Extending it's reach past reality and plant, the magic reached into the world of imagination, the world of dreams and history and of the spirits. Time... Time was one small barrier. She had to will it, her magic. One of the few times she could grasp at control. Steer it away from jumping into the past to conjure forth the leaf. A small change might change all of history for all one knew. So unless needed, she preferred willing it with everything she had to pull from other sources. And she did. Out of thin air itself it seemed, a ripple occurred. And in the center of the ripple emerged a small leaf like the one Amaranth had wished for, floating slow down into Ren's small hands. A sigh escaping her lips, the light, live leaf under her soft touch. She held it out, opening her eyes with a faint smile.
