Carol and her future daughter had flown all the way to the disturbance, and the first thing they saw was, of course, Godzilla in battle with several representatives of the various Lantern Corps. "Holy..."
Carlie just stared. That thing was... huge... and then she watched a red streak fly through the sky: Atrocitus.

Then, in an attempt to draw the monster away from the city, a platoon of Doomknights flew in a spread formation and used their energy lances to volley shots at Godzilla.
As the Master of Latveria himself flew in the direction of the scaly King of Monsters, Dr. Doom transmitted his commands to his forces, "Doom to all available Doombots, support the Avenger and Lantern assault on the monster. All ground forces, evacuate all civilians within range of the creature. All available jet fighters and bombers, set up to co-odinate strikes against the creature."
Both Starfire and Firestar flew up to begin attacks against Godzilla. When Star cut left, she sends a volley of starbolts. Firestar cut right and launches a firey beam of microwave energy at Godzilla.

Eira turned to Godzilla. "Eyes, get it in the eyes. Its hide is too hard to pierce!" she yelled. She sent her own stab of indigo energy at the creatures eyes.

Godzilla didn't so much as flinch as the various superheroes and Doomknights attacked him. Instead, he looked down at them all, and inwardly sighed. That is, until a blast of Indigo light hit one of his eyes. The massive creature roared in pain and anger, thrashing around with his enormous tail and stamping his building-sized feet. He let out a blast of atomic fire into the sky, inadvertently destroying several Doomknights and nearly hitting Atrocitus as well.

((lolz, this makes me think of very amusing things...))
Eira watched wide eyed as Gozilla shot fire into the air. "Guys! Play clean up crew. We need to guard the surrounding area and bring him down. Try a net!!!." she yelled, hoping they would join her, they being the Lanterns. She raised her staff and sent an enormous net binding its way across the monster.

As Doom directed his Doombots to help Starfire get people to safety, Firestar cranked up the power of her fire shield and flew in the path of Godzilla's blasts. With her mutant ability making her immune to the heat and radiation produced by the scaly monster's nuclear beath, Angelica decided to play 'blocker'. When she expanded her shield, the firy Avenger strained to keep the blast from going past her -- with some flares sparking off the sides at different angles. Firestar shouted at the other heroes, "I'm not sure how long I can stop his blasts!! If you're going to do something, DO IT NOW!!!"

M'gann arrived in Latveria at the Godzilla scene, a surprised look on her face, just in time to hear Firestar's exclamation. She assumed the dinosaur thing was bad, and acted on her hunch. She focused her mind on the creature and sent a quick jab to its conscious in order to put it to sleep. She hoped it would work, and continued her flight to get nearer to the heroes.

Godzilla was simply too large for M'gann's single attack to work, and he continued to thrash around, and broke through Eira's net.
A blue streak of light hurried to the scene-- three, actually, one light and one dark, and with them was an orange streak as well. Elasa had brought Zeso and Larfleeze to the scene, sensing danger. But when she looked at Godzilla, she did not see a mere monster. She saw an upset being.
"Stop! All of you, cease your movements!" Elasa said to her allies, before flying up to Godzilla.
Godzilla was so shocked to see one of the small, glowing people actually get up into his face, that he did not attack her. He blinked at her, and Elasa set her hand on Godzilla's enormous snout in a calming gesture.
"Please, do not be afraid, I mean you no harm," Elasa said to the kaiju, patting him on the nose.

((Ah darn...had I known that calming it down would work I would've done so XD))
M'gann stopped mid air and watched the Blue Lantern pat the dinosaur thing on the snout. She should have tried a peaceful way in the first place. She frowned, remiss in her own morals. She would have to apologize to the beast later.

Eira had begun to make another barrier when Elasa moved to calm the beast. She stopped moving and watched the goings on carefully; warily.

Doom recalled his doombots and kept his air force in a holding pattern ready to strike if neccessary. While Firestar breathed a sigh of relief, Starfire held back her starbolts. Glancing over, Kori spied M'gann hovering in the air. With a joyful gasp, the orange alien flew over and made a 'tackle hug', "M'gann!!! You are alive!!! Thank X'hal!!! I have been missing you." As the Tamarian hugged the Martian, tears began to flow down orange cheeks.

"I have established a telepathic link with this creature. He says... he does not know why you are attacking him, as he was minding his own business and wishes only to be left alone." Elasa said to the group.

Firestar blinked hard at Elasa's declaration and shook her auburn locks, "Well.... If that's the case, can he be careful where he steps? He did just scare the local populace and this happened."

"Starfir--" M'gann began and was cut off after being lovingly assaulted by the alien. "Can't...breath..." sh gasped and hugged her back while listening to Elasa. "Could I try as well?" she asked the Lantern mentally, still unable to speak.
Eira watched Star hug the green girl named M'gann and wondered at it. Who was she? She finally relaxed and released her tensed shoulders.

Elasa frowned and relayed Firestar's message to Godzilla telepathically. Godzilla gave an annoyed huff, and Elasa said: "He says: 'I have been avoiding contact with humans for some time now. It is not my fault that there were people in my way, as I was unable to see their settlements.' "
