the mathematics involved are difficult to say the least

it's also fundamentally inaccurate. as the increasing of ink in any one square would increase it in every square (including itself even more) and therefore by the time you are done, the comic would just be a black rectangle.
but i think about these things too much

The chances are not very likely. You see, Megetokyo carries a sort of appeal, because of it's (Let's admit it) some-what crud, but wonderful artwork. It's BECAUSE of the format in which he draws it that so many like it, not to mention it's excellent humor. However, if you were to translate this into an Anime, it's appeal would not be carried as well. Let's face it, half the jokes in Megatokyo are the little things in the background. In an Anime, you couldn't do this as well, thus killing the Megatokyo "feeling" and art style.

Also, when you look at the Megatokyo story line, you realize it actually sucks compared to many other Animes and Mangas. BUT, it's the way Fred transfused it from a Web comic to a Web manga that helps keep our little minds off that fact.

If you don't agree, take amoment to realize that most of Megatokyo was never planned. It just sort of "happened" as Fred went along. (Example: Yumi and her suddenly turing out to be a Magical Girl. Tohya and her suddenly turning out to be a ex-Magical Girl......maybe, and being "killed". Etc.) Most Animes don't work out well when they try that.

true most of the best stuff isn't "planed" although, that does not make conversion into an anime impossible, you just need to use the comic like a script.
and then you could make a poorly-thought-out video-game from said anime
