"You look like Daddy too, so you come here!" he called to his sister.
"What in the name of the lost dwelling is going on" Snowfall asked in a near whine.
"Our cubs hate me," Swordfall said primly.
"No we don't momma," Capnut Sky said softly.
"Yeah," Two paws chimed in. "we love momma and daddy and"
"And The ones who smell like momma and daddy," Night hunter added.
"And even the weird new girl!" Howlsong said happily.

Woodshot blinked. "That was fairly plain..."
"You...You don't hate Snowfall, do you Mommy?" Knifefall asked, her eyes watering with tears.

"Of course I don't! I don't even hate Snowracer, for crying out loud. Owl pellets, cubs, I was just complaining. I didn't mean any of that. And besides which, Snow Racer and New Wolf are Wolfriders now, as are all of you."
"These are her cubs? Not yours?" Venka asked Tyleet.
Tyleet laughed lightly. "Not mine. I have younger sisters and brothers."

Venka, not much more then a cub herself, chuckled, watching the cubs. "Cutter must be thrilled."

"Thanks, You three okay with the cubs?" Venka asked.
"She's a cub too, isn't she?" Capnut asked uncle Woodshot.

Woodshot nodded, "She is, but she's an older cub. She'll be fine inside the holt, and with Tyleet no less."
