Ian nodded, "i'll deliver the message right away." he stood up, took in a deep breath, and bowed to Lisa before jumping down on the ground and walking through his tree to head back to Rodasia.

Lisa smiled; "Thanks Ian, your a life saver."

Lisa went back inside and began the long process of hiding documents throughout the house.

Lisa noted the halls to Tolly's house was rather quiet, she was wondering where Raathemay was at, and she would be angry if she bailed out on house sitting duty to go hang out at her hatchmate sister's resturant.

She came to Tolly's study, she pushed the door open, barging into a room like she always did here, and turning to look at the mess on the far side of the room she didn't see the end of Raathemay's tail. She tripped and fell onto the floor hard. "Dammit Raathemay, what the hell are you doing leaving your tail in front of the door?"

Lisa got back on her feet and noted the lack of response. She looked her sister over and she was still breathing, but not very well indicating something was wrong. Lisa looked at the book on the reading rack it was open to a particular spell; "stopping a self updating book." Lisa didn't think too much of it, but left to get help for Raathemay.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lisa thought about it as she was making dinner, the archive was sealed, hastily at that. The mess in the study had to come from Raathemay, but why would she make such a mess when she knew that book very well. They all used that book to start their self updating journals that were kept in the archive under lock and key. "The archive is sealed in a hurry, Raathemay sealed it, then goes to get a book about self updating books, but if she knew something was wrong with her why did she not go to the infirmary?"
Lisa sat down at the table and ate for a few minute before setting her spoon down. "She locked the archive because someone was going to steal a book, or had stolen a book. What book could they have taken that tied to the other book, and what was wrong with her?"
Lisa ate a bit more, then jumped out of her chair the spoon crashing into the plate. She looked out the kitchen window and moving back through the house she turned lights out and basically put every sealing spell she could on every door. The windows were already enchanted thankfully.
Lisa closed the back kitchen door, she walked to Ian's tree, and smiling to the guards. The bucket of water she brought with her she dumped slowly around the base of the tree. She finished with the bucket and spoke at the tree. "Ian, the book you requested seems to be missing, and Raathemay has closed the archive until she gets better. I can't read it to you, I'm sorry, so there is no need to come, because I won't be here."
One of the guards broke off heading for the palace. Lisa turned throwing the bucket at the remaining group before launching at them. She waded in with her weapon slaughtering them quickly. She left her weapon out as she ran through the streets chasing down the messenger for the palace.
She smiled as she turned a corner and he was up ahead. Lisa sprinted hard, and caught up to him in a spot that unforunately had several witnesses. He went to say his message hoping those witnesses would talk and word get back to Hiyru. "Tre..." The rest died as his neck was impaled, lisa caught up to him and pulling a knife she stabbed him repeatedly calling him a traitor loudly with each strike.
A group of guards showed up, and Lisa smiled know the shadow of doubt existed on the act. Even through she murdered several more, but the doubt would spare her life for the time being. She didn't resist, and was lead off to jail.
Sorrow couldn't understand for the life of her why the gate operator on the Arynia side literally ducked underneath the little both thing. Sorrow waited till they were a bit further down the street. "Kaos, tell me I wasn't looking angry when we came through the gate, i don't understand why people are so afraid of me right now, hell look at that..." Sorrow tossed her head to the direction of a mother grabbing the arm of her kid, her eyes fixed on Sorrow as they backed into the house, but other people on the street seemed to be rather wary giving them plenty of room. "I feel as if something bad is about to go down, and I swear if one stupid gaurd makes me drop this vase. I'm going to loose my mind."
Kaos touched the vase and it disappeared, "one less thing to ruin a beautiful day." he looked around and noticed how leery people were being, but then thought about the war and all the negative things that had been happening; it all evened out.
He wrapped an arm around Yuma, "I don't think it's anything to worry about. they just got over a war... it's not unusual for people to be un-trusting after such a devastating event."
"Yeah, i can understand that if I were a complete stranger, but everyone knows me in this city." Yuma shook her head; "You're right, no point letting it get to me, but a few more blocks down this street and a left for two more and we'll be at Mary's" Yuma's tone improved to hold the same cheery tone it had before they came out of the gate.
he stopped keeping a tight grip on her side, forcing her to stop. his hand slid along her chin and tilted her head up. he kissed her lips softly and smiled. "I love you."
Yuma blushed slightly; "Love you too, but imagine that were right in front of Mary's house."
Yuma straightened her hair up, and clearly felt she was missing a chunk out of it and groaned. However she made herself presentable enough in her opinion before going up to knock. Yuma had a devious thought and gave a Kaos a short kiss as she heard the lock being turned. She quickly looked innocent as the door opened and Mary's daughter looked at Sorrow first. Her eyes turned to Koas and she backed away fromt he door slightly; "Its you, the one on the other side of the mist, you let us talk to Vermillion, but how can you be here if you're dead?"
She looked at Sorrow; "Yuma, how can he be here if he's dead, because it doesn't make sense to me." yuma smiled slightly; "Relax, it's complicated to explain, but may we come in to explain everything properly to you and Mary?"
She finished opening the door, and yuma reached back to take Kaos's hand. "Thank's Lena, and there is nothing to be afraid of. He's more likely to help you more then hurt you, and I swear on my soul that is true."
They ended up in a dinning room that was a touch smaller then Toole's, but the table and chairs were ornately carved and detailed solid oak. In three spots on the table were symbols inlayed into the wood. On the table stood a very decrotive vase. There were no flowers in it, but multicolored sand in a random pattern.
Mary set her book down and her intial reaction matched her daughters upon seeing Kaos. However she quickly got over it standing up; "Please have a seat, i apologize for not having anything prepared to drink, but to what do we owe this visit?"
Kaos squeezed Yuma's hand, I'm going to give the vase and flowers to Mary, but i'm going to let Vermillion take the credit, alright?
Kaos let go of Yuma's hand and bowed, "Thank you for allowing us into you're home," He walked over to Mary and called in the Vase of flowers that had a beautiful silk ribbon tied around it with a ring tied into the center of the bow, "I believe this is for you."
Mary was almost in tears; "There beautiful, who picked them out, and where did the vase come from. I've never seen this style workmanship anywhere, unless this is a first run for a new pattern." She studied the ring for a minute or two now she had to wipe a few tears from her eyes. "The fool, keeping his word like that, and he must have found these wherever he was at."
Mary looked over at Lena; "Your father sent his station ring, he always said he wanted to pass it down to his first child, but I forgot to remove it before the cremation ceremony. I thought I lost it forever, and here it is. I prayed for the chance to maybe be able to find a replica design and have it reworked. How did he know;" Mary paused a minute looking back at Kaos. "I really appreciate all that you've done, i don't want to know why you here, because I'll take it as a blessing."
Mary took the vase over and set it on a buffet table. "I hope he is doing better, i worry about him, he didn't look well when we talked to him, and seemed rather withdrawn."
Kaos rejoined Yuma and smiled, "He had a rough start, but i can assure you, he has a warm safe place to sort out his thoughts and get back on track again." he then looked at a chair, "May we sit?"
Mary turned around suddenly and nodded her head quickly; "Oh, yes please have a seat, I'm sorry, my mind is elsewhere at the moment." Mary sat down; "I'm glad to hear he is doing okay, but is there something else on your mind?"
"Something else... on my mind; no no! just the beautiful woman standing next to me" Kaos smiled and took a seat in the chair. he tilted his head slightly, "Then again... has anything odd happened lately... aside from the couple hour civil war that happened a couple weeks ago?"
Lena didn't want to offer her opinion to company so she went into the kitchen to begin making something to drink.
Mary looked at Kaos; "Things have taken a turn for the worst, it seems with the absence of Yuma, and the courts rise to power, a sort of inquistion has begun. Toole is wanted for questioning, I haven't seen my father in days, and lately Lisa hasn;t even answered any of my inquries. People are avoiding me and my daughter as if associating with us is a crime. Friends i have known for years up and turning their back on you makes you wonder. We recieved offical letters today ordering us into house arrest, naturally i inquired as to the reason, and never got a honest answer."
Yuma mood soured intensely; "Toole hasn't done anything wrong, he wouldn't risk his realtionship to Ailes, or the safety fo Jezabelle by doing something to get thrown in jail. Someone is jerking my family around and I really don't appreciate it, so do you have any names, or do i start at the closest guard and work my way up?"
"Its about time someone shares my opinion." Lena set the tray down and poured the cups setting them in front of respective people at the table. Kaos got two cups considering Yuma was standing beside him. "I have been begging for the chance to leave this house and find out something, but mother worries that I'll be thrown in jail or end up labeled a crimminal and be thrown out of Arynia."
Sorrow looked at Lena; "Stay put, you have no idea who your true enemy is, neither do i so don't ask, and running into battle will only sour a people's opinion of you. So put that anger aside for the moment, if and when they come through that door, then you have every right to protect yourself." Yuma thought a bit; "Mary, is there anyone still in town that would know anything, and is not under watchful eye?"
"My brother Carnath would, he is due back from his post at the falls, but soon as he gets into town he will probably fall under the same eye shortly. However, Yuma please calm down, there is no need to ruin such a good moment. Lena please no more, they haven't come all this way to listen to our problems."
Kaos sat quietly drinking the beverage place in front of him. He quickly became uncomfortable with a dark presence approaching the house and stood abruptly, running for the door. he grabbed the knob at the same time it twisted and Chrono stood in the doorway; his eyes clouded in darkness, "Where have you been?" he crooned as he grabbed Kaos's wrist.
Kaos winced, "I take it Hans is available?"
Chrono nodded, "And now your daughter is occupied... but we can fix that." He looked up his eyes locking on Sorrow, "You'll be coming with me." Chrono faded into a cloud of dark purple smoke with Kaos and Yuma and they appeared in Ive's bar.
