Ann leaned her back against the wall and assured Lyra, "I'm alright. I'm just a bit miffed that I didn't get a chance to avenge my little scratch from a previous Chimera attack." She laughed a little and congratulated Lyra, "Good job on that last attack."

bucbucLA Ashley feels she is ready so she gets up and gets ready to attack again. She hit the chimera on the arm and sees it stagger. she is to exhausted to fight any more. [[CHIMERA HIT TWICE THAT WAS MY TENTH TRY TODAY I AM OUT FOR THE COUNT]]
I'm going to start making mention of these special attacks/defenses when I call the creature, just so no one needs to pop back and forth from front page to here to check on these things.

SIREN!
Any male fighter who rolls a 5 against a Siren is hit.
House-elves hit by a Siren are out for 6 hours.
Non-house-elves hit by a Siren are out for 12 hours.
Once again, be sure to make clear whether you are attacking the Chimera for its last hit, or the Siren.

Mikki runs out of the Great Hall after Alutians announcement in search of one of the monsters. She first spots the Chimera. She raises her crossbow, ready attack.
Mikki cursed rather loudly as a spike hit her left arm. Blood streamed down is as she ran to hide, to prevent from being attacked again. She found a thick tapestry that could hide her easily. She ran behind it and took a look at her arm. God, how could this have happened? she thought. I had the perfect shot! I could have killed it! I waited too long. She tried to pull out the spike, but cringed as the pain seemed to reverberate through her entire body. She looked around the edge of the tapestry. The monster was facing the other way. Good Lord, I hope I'm lucky right now! She ran out from behind the tapestry and sprinted for the Great Hall.

Lyra sees the monsters. She picks up her bow, aiming at the angry Chimera. Her arrow hits the monster in the chest. It falls to the floor, dead.

Lyra quickly grabs another arrow and aims at the other monster, a siren. She releases the arrow and it hits the siren in the back.

Lyra runs out of the way as the monster starts to come towards her. She circles back around, taking another arrow. Lyra brings her bow up, carefully taking aim at the monster. She released her arrow and it whizzes through the air, stopping when it lodges in the siren's leg.

Lyra takes ANOTHER arrow, once again aiming at the horrible creature. It flies straight at the siren, hitting it in the neck. The monster silently crumples to the ground.
Lyra breathes a sigh of relief and runs after Mikki to make sure she is ok.

TROLL!
Any ranged fighter who rolls a 10 essentially misses. (The projectile hits the troll, but has no effect against the monster's natural armor)
House-Elves hit by the troll are out for 3 hours.
Students/other hit by the troll are out for 6 hours.
