She walked out of her room and headed for the kitchen. "I can't think of anything... I just gotta do the dish... oh." she said, blinking at the empty sink. "Thanks for doing the dishes from breakfast..." she said before opening the refridgerator. She sighed as she realized that it was getting rather close to empty. "Geez, good thing I'm off tomorrow... I'll have to figure out what to get for groceries... after I pay the bills..." she said to herself with a frown.

"If I'm still here next week I can start to help pay the bills." I said while looking out the window in the kitchen. "My mistress...so beautiful." I muttered to myself as I saw the moon, it was almost full. Tearing my eyes away from the moon my senses began to notice just how beautiful Bethany was. It was then I realized I was staring at her and that my wolf side was getting the better of me. "So how was your day at work?" I said trying to keep my mind focused.

Hearing his voice suddenly in the kitchen startled her, and she jerked her head up, slamming the bakc of her head on the seperator between the fridge section and the upper freezer section. She winced as she put her hand on the back of her head. "Work... was slow..." she said as she carefully backed up, pulling out the last pair of steaks from the meat drawer with her free hand. "Sorry... I'm such a klutz..."

"You ok?" I asked as I pulled some ice out of the freezer and put it into a clean dish towel. "Here put this on it, and give me those." I said as I handed her the ice pack and took the steaks from her. "I'll make dinner tonight and you can go relax in the living room." I told her as I took out a frying pan with my back to her.

She didn't put up a fight about it as he handed her the ice pack and took the steaks. "I'm ok, really..." she insisted as she stood fully up, only to put a hand on her computer desk to keep steady. "Alright... maybe I should go sit..." she said with a weak smile after a moment. She carefully walked through the book-trails to the living room, sitting on the floor with a sigh. She really needed to give up some of these books to help make ends meet... she jsut didn't /want/ to give them up...

I watched as she made her way to the living room. After she left my eyesight I began to cook the steaks. While they cooked I set the table for two and got me a glass of water for a quick drink.
When the steaks were ready I set them out on some plates. "The steaks are done Bethany, what would like to drink with your meal?" I asked while getting a glass out of the cabinet.

Feeling a little bit better, and her head not pounding away in her ears, she got up and walked to the kitchen. "Oh, I can get it..." she said as she walked over to the fridge and pulled out a pitcher of tea.

"As you wish." I handed her the glass to pour her tea into. Sitting down I murmered a quick prayer to the moon and waited for Bethany to sit before I began to eat.

She poured some tea into her glass and then went and sat down across from him. "It smells great, thanks." Beth told Josh with a small smile before she started cutting the steak into bites for eating.

"Thank you for the compliment." I said as I began eating my steak. I looked out the window and again saw the moon. It was inviting me to come outside it seemed. I turned my attention away from the moon and asked, "So how's your research coming along?"

"I'm going to have to contact mom about more blood samples... and vials... I... kinda dropped my last one onto the floor last night and the vial broke..." she explained hesitantly before taking a bite out of the steak, chewing with a thoughtful look on her face.

"Which blood sample was it?" I asked, though I was actually curious as to why she dropped a vial of blood in the first place. I was almost finished with my steak and mentally noted I should try to pace myself now that I'm amongst people.

"Um...." she said and closed her eyes to help her draw up the details. "Sample 128... female lycan... blood type 0-... age... um... 350... I think..." she said after a bit of thought. She opened her eyes and took another bite of her steak. "I've been thinking about going over to Blood Manor sometime and see if they would mind donating some tissue samples for study.... but... I'm not quite sure if that's such a good idea..."

"Well there's no harm in asking. If they say no then thats that, but if they say yes then there you go; you'll have a steady supply of blood samples." I said after finishing my steak and putting in the sink. "I need to go out tonight, if you would like I could do the dishes when I get back." I told her as I looked at the moon through the window. Tonight would not be the night but I needed to scout the forests for any hunting grounds I could find.

She followed his gaze to the window, and nodded her head. "Don't worry about it. I can handle the dishes for a few nights. It's not either one of us use very many." she replied, giving him a small smile. "If you go about a mile out of town, there's a small wooded area... less than 20 acres, I think, but no one lives there." She told him as she quickly finished her meal. She gathered her dishes, and then held out her hand for his own dishes.
