EhmiEhmi I don't remember camping being part of the deal. That complicates things for me further since I sold all my camping stuff so I didn't have to haul it from OR to MI. gonk Timewise, it looks like May is not looking good for anyone. Yeah, May ish no good for Lulu either. Don't worry Eemz! I've got a big tent that can fit 3 or 4 people and I've got lots of sleeping bags. I can bring an extra one for you if you want. 3nodding

Speaking of which, let's talk about camping gear. I've got a 3-4 person tent that I can bring, extra sleeping bags in case anyone needs one, an outdoor mini stove (if we wanna cook stuff at the campsite), a camping lantern and a very good flashlight, a rain tarp for the tent, camp-friendly dishes and utensils, lots of sunblock, and probably a couple other useful things that I can't think of at the moment.
By the way, maybe we should keep it around the same time as the last one. The second to last weekend of July. Of course it doesn't have to be exactly then, but we could start by checking to see if that weekend would work for everyone and if it doesn't we could alter it.
Oh yeah, Wufflez! How much does that campground charge per night? And how much would it cost to rent 2 canoe's for the river race? And do you think we'll be going out to eat at all or just staying at your house and the campsite?

Yeah, well maybe you don't need to worry about this, but I gotta save up some money for my costume and prizes and my bus ticket and my share of the camping fee and the canoe rent-age. And besides, May is clearly no good for most people. And June is no good for me and Eemz. She can't take that much time off work and I'm gonna be out of the country for nearly the entirety of June. And anything before May won't work cuz people have school. So July is probably as close as you're gonna get.

But you could solve all these issues of who wants to go camping by jumping on a plane and visiting me! 3nodding
Sorry, I think I'm just jealous that everyone else gets to see everyone in person.

@LuLu- I also have a couple extra tents. One being an 8 person tent. Like Pez said, canoes are 9 per hour. But I also have one of my own. And by July we might get another one anyway. And as far as the campsites, they range from 11-20 smacks per night.
But I agree that late July sounds better. I'm just afraid that the campgrounds will be super booked. Taylors Falls is a gigantically huge tourist town during the summer.

There's a few restaurants down the block from my house.
@Angel- Well, the price for 6 people to fly to aussie vs. the price for one person to fly in to the states. . . wink

Snow's all well and good when you can just go out and play in it, but it's not so good when you've been working all night and are so tired you want to pass out, but you can't because it's 2:30 in the morning and it's been snowing all night and you have to clean a half a foot of snow off your car in 18 degree weather before you can even go home. gonk [/end whining]
I love, love, love camping and canoeing. Just curious, though. How are we going to be able to have a Xenathon if we're camping?
