Not really... Essentially, they're all suppose to come from the same place(the gods). They just hold different ideals, so they're separated by those ideals. Defenders basically view mankind as good, so they protect them as such. Purifiers see them as evil or they just like killing them, so they destroy them. Neutrals are those that don't really care either way or they love to kill anyone in general.
Defenders are powered by mankind, purifiers by the gods, and Neutrals by no one but themselves.

Miss A and Bane, you can either nag Kitty to death or work around her, by making one of those weird side stories and get to your char more familiar with each other. It'll build a relationship/friendship/bond, yet still include Kitty when she returns.
