XShilonX Deneiru Chijiru. Cough. Don't show him this page. EVER. Ever ever. HE'S JUST FULL OF s**t. XD To clarify to others: this guy tried to "suck the soul of a demon into his sword".. when the body was already vacant of said soul, part of the existing plot.
His excuse for that, among other things?
"it's early. lol yeah"

Nihilistic_Impact Only time soul eating should be exceptable is after the person has been killed. Even then. Sometimes, eating a character's soul can wreck any future plans for the character. Soul Eating = Not okay, in my book. Unless they pull it off... extremely creatively.

Vaakine Nihilistic_Impact Only time soul eating should be exceptable is after the person has been killed. Exactly. And immidiately following, otherwise the soul would have left the body of it's own.

I have a character that enslaves them for personal amusement. I need no other reason to steal souls from the dead then that. Even if it does ******** with a story line someone was creating for a character, to them I say. You shouldn't have gotten yourself killed in the first place.

Ahem....
@Typhoon & Shilon: Oh, there is an explanation for most 'holy' or 'shadow' powers, as some refer to them...they're simply magic using an particular element - they're not powered by or stemming from God, or any other religious being. The fact remains that if a religion states that the universe is younger than it actually is in the RP (or otherwise conflicts with fact) then it's crap. If a religion says that the universe was created two million years ago, and a one billion year-old tells him it's bullshit, it's ::twitchdurhh:: bullshit.
Deity isn't saying all religion-based powers in an RP are 'tarded. But if said powers are granted to a warrior from a religion that simply cannot be, then said powers must be explained in a different way....because it can't be from their so-called God. It still boils down to faith in a being that isn't there...so if the power itself can't be nullified, its source must be changed. For instance, an Angel can simply be some sort of magical, delusional creature....well, he doesn't have t'be delusional, but his simple existence proves nothing.
@Nilly: ::thumbs up::

Well, RPing isn't all fighting each OTHER, you know'. Alot of RPs I've been've been... Well, it's best to show by example. --- Joe: -Creates a villian- Everyone: -Fights with the villian- Joe: -RPs as the Villian- Etc. Now, picture this: Someone creates a villian to further their own character's plot, or start a new one. Buuuut', his soul is stolen. Except in a few.. rare.. instances, whatever you were planning is now about as usefull as a Transparent Bathing suit.

Though, plots should always adapt; it's when they DON'T, that you have instances such as... well, the Tavern, coughcough69CHILDRENWHYDON'TTHEYSTARTANARMYGODDAMMITCOUGHcough].
@FIERCE, I hear where you're getting at. Just, you must understand that it's not guranteed their ability is of religious significance, even IF they believe it is full-heartedly. The fact remains that the ability is there, regardless of it's origin, and not believing it's supposed backing won't change the fact.
Now, it's a little touchy on this soul business, obviously.

I play villians, it's what I do. My purpose in playing the villian is to ******** over the good guys as best I can. If they can't stop me then they better do something quick or they end up dead.
That and your contention doesn't work against me since I only approve of soul stealing after the body is dead.

And in that kinda RP, 'Tis fine. THAT kinda Soul Eating is okay. To an extent. But, you can also see why the situation I stated would be whorish too, righ'?

The fact that I enslave souls can also act as a plot point for the person's friends to adventure to get it back.

Oblivionic there are RPers who actually play 'good guys' out there? ... fooled me... I base my characters on the D&D alignment scale'. Shilon's Lawful good, Lock's true neutral, and I also have a character I've not used in a while that's Chaotic Evil. And I'm making another character that's Chaotic Good. It's more interesting to me to play all spectrums of characters.

@Typhoon: ...yeah. Yeah...s'what Deity said... < <; ...he doesn't nullify a power entirely, just it's origin. If they say that they're using an arrowhead forged in Satan's a*****e, Deity can assume it'll pack some punch...but not that it is, indeed, originating from within the devil's a**s.
@Oblivionic: ....Deity's a good guy!! xD
