Streamjumper 3.14 eek !! Mom: You know, one of my friends has puppies for sale. Me: ...I wish I had a puppy. Mom: Well, let's go get one today. My Mom is finally letting me get a puppy! mrgreen I can feel Mala's vicarious joy here already.

Shoujo Phoenix I had a dream I woke up...and it was about 50 or so years later. So I was old...but had the brain of me now. Anyway, I went on Gaia...and they did a WIPE. I was so sad. All my stuff on xNebulousx was gone and the avatars were kinda ugly and 3D-like. Then I went onto Shouj...and all my stuff was still there. I was one of the lucky accounts. Stream lost everything and had a sig that was like "I used to have this" and there was a DT and such. The donation letter had just opened and it was a pair of minis shaped like a G. I was old though. It was just odd. And I was sad because I knew I would die in a few years. Sounds like you're having a dream presaging some kind of rebirth.

Mom: ..for all the US soldiers who fell in battle, in all the wars. Me: I thought that was in November? Mom: That's Veteran's Day. Me: What's the difference? Mom: One's in November? Veterans Day is to show respect for all those who went to war, and particularly to celebrate the armistice that ended the end of World War 2. Memorial day is to show respect for all those Americans who died serving their country at war. It originates in the years after the end of the Civil War. I figured it out after the conversation. ^^; Kinda embarrased for us, that we didn't know the difference.. A lot of people don't know the difference though... the only reasons I do is because I was Sgt-at-arms as well as Senior Councilor for my DeMolay chapter as well as the son of a Vietnam vet heavily involved in parades and the VAF.

Streamjumper [Grampy Stream story about his and his sister's youngin' days] My brother had this really nasty habit of taking whatever was in the fridge and digesting it. Didn't bother to ask who's it was because obviously even tho your name was on it in big bold letters in black permanent marker... it was there to be eaten or guzzled. Well, this had happened quite a few times. I'd buy something, put it in the fridge to eat/drink later, and BAM! it'd be gone. stressed Well, my brother kinda broke the camel's back when he ate 3 candy bars I had put in there no less than 5 minutes before. I came out to see him licking chocolate off his fingers. I screamed at him. Nothing. I screamed at the parents. Nothing. So I took the thing I had in my hand (a warm cup of coffee) and dumped it over his head. Warm enough to go "OW OW OW! Hot!", but not to cause permanent damage or scarring (very important detail in besting one's siblings). I got yelled at (no other punishment), he got a shower, and he never EVER did it again. To this day, he still gives me a VERY wide berth whenever I'm holding a cup of coffee. twisted
