You ingest the other stone, but upon doing so, you find that it burns going down your throat and esophagus. As it falls into your stomach, it erupts into a burning feeling that shoots throughout your body, consuming every nerve fiber and causing radiating pain to flow in waves from within. Your bones feel like they're melting; you can feel the blood in your veins boil; you can feel each internal organ quickly overheat and then burst. In the back of your mind you can feel as if the stone is mocking your greedy nature; you can feel the cackle of its mocking tone ringing in your head as if you were standing next to a large bell at high noon. Your subjugation over the stones has ended, and you're now paying the price.

The pain of the stone becomes a distant memory, so quickly that it feels like it didn't happen at all. For a moment, peace comes upon you and you regain the feeling of calm. Now, with both stones reunited, the power they grant splits in half. For a moment, the right side of your body becomes like an arctic chill, while the left side becomes like a torrent of volcanic destruction. And then both feelings converge, canceling one another out until calm is restored. Small pieces of stone around your right foot look to have a thin sheet of snow and ice coating them, whereas the blades of grass around your left foot seem to slowly be burning away.
