I remember when I checked back there recently... I had mail.
Person: Hi, I'm a friend of Shelby's. (Shelby's a friend of mine, she introduced me to Gaia. ;D ;D) Wanna be friends?
Me: I hardly ever come on anymore, so it's kind of pointless to be friends with someone.
Person: Okay. Can I have your account?
Except said person wasn't so literate.

Meaningless milestones. Yay.
And I remember MC Hammer ... and New Kids on the Block. And Vanilla Ice. I wasn't into them and when they each gradually vanished, I was about the only person who had no clue what happened to them. I'd bring it up from time to time. "What happened to that McHammer dude? I thought for sure he'd get a McDonald's deal or something."

I wasn't into them at the time, in fact I'm still not into New Kids or Vanilla Ice, but I've grown to like MC Hammer more and more.
Probably because I wish he would wear the parachute pants again. And dance.
MC Hammer has tried to come back, just as "Hammer" and is hardcore gangsta rap. I don't like it. It's just not very good.
Vanilla Ice, same thing. Got Dreads, tried to go metal. Didn't work.
New Kids....no idea. They went their seperate ways. They were on VH1 on a "Reuniting the band" thing awhile ago I think.

Thing with Ice was that he was just too vanilla. Nobody likes just vanilla. Well. I guess some people do.
But Vanilla = Plain. Plain = Boring.
Now if he was Vanilla Ice Cream with Fudge Syrup and Nuts, he might have lasted longer.
*shrug* Musicians. Go figure. I like to listen to dead musicians, thanks. Sure, they had drama and angst in their lives too, but at least they can't embarass themselves (and the people brave enough to call themselves classical music fans) anymore. sweatdrop
