"If you like," Cody said. Dancing wasn't one of those private things people did in bedrooms and back rooms. Not unless people got too close or did something...creepy. "I don't mind." He slid off his stool, giving Dari's hand a squeeze.

Ronin and Doug were within the crowd, dancing together, but when Ronin saw the couple coming he acted as if he were pulling them to him on a rope. It wasn't clear if Ronin was tipsy himself or just being a goof. Both were just as likely. Dari just laughed and, when he came to the same general space, turned his attention to Cody entirely and began to move with the music, just subtly at first and then putting a hand on Cody's waist.

Cody was clearly still feeling awkward, but he was feeling the warmth and fuzziness due to his drink. His eyes trailed over Dari, seeming to tune out everyone else. He started to move to the music along with Dari.

He could easily see that Cody felt awkward, but he wasn't sure how to fix it. Cody looked him over, though, and he felt briefly attractive, then his hand moved to Cody's shoulder. He was trying to help guide him to the music. He didn't have to move well, he just had to move!

Cody moved closer, and leaned in for a quick kiss. "I've no idea what I'm doing," he muttered, but gave Dari a grin. "I love you," he added. And Dari was happy, it was worth it. And besides, it was kind of...fun. Dancing without any rules.

Dari grinned into the kiss and nibbled Cody's lower lip briefly. So maybe Cody had needed to be a little tipsy first, but the history teacher had definitely loosened up.
"You don't have to!" he said, and then, "I love you too!" He twirled under Cody's arm and he heard Ronin laugh. He and Doug were dancing together, but not touching. Hmmm, what did that mean?

Cody grinned as Dari twirled, and leaned over to kiss him again, this time letting it linger a moment. He wanted to touch and love; but this certainly wasn't the place for that. "You're beautiful," he observed. None of these other people had his attention. They didn't matter. They were extras in a movie starring just the two of them.

Dari shook his head. He was no such thing! Cody, though, Cody was-- "You're amazing."
Dari took a moment to close his eyes and just see and hear and feel. He could move very well himself. Muscles and bones were much easier than pressure regulation and conscious momentum. He was fluid and strong and sensual.

"You're perfect," Cody said, nuzzling Dari's ear. He was, just like their mountain. Everything about Dari was beautiful, each new thing he learned about him was like a wild flower.

Dari came close and nearly brushed noses with Cody, dancing even closer, moving with him. It was quite some time of this before the DJ changed tactics. The bass pounded. People started fist-pumping. Dari started getting goofy, 'dancing' at Cody and jumping in circles, then took him in his arms and jumped in a circle with him, more or less carrying his weight. It could be just stupid fun too!

The music got louder, surprising Cody. He'd just gotten used to being so close to his boyfriend in public. He chuckled at Dari. "What're you doing, love?" he asked. Jumping in circles? Dari looked ridiculous!

Dari shrugged. Who knew! Who cared?! He laughed and released Cody, and went back to normal dancing.
"It doesn't matter! I just come to have fun! Nobody in here cares!" He gestured around them and pulled Cody to him to dance to the heavy beat.

Dari accepted the kiss and ran a hand down Cody's chest. Ah, he loved the bass. He loved the passion in it. It was just a sound, but it stirred something in him.

Cody moved so they were almost nose to nose. He stole another kiss and grinned. This was better than he'd expected, really. So much better. Especially when he was this close to the man he loved.
