Sammy stood on Vixen's back, bringing her hand to her brow to gaze at Phenac City. "Ah, it's so beautiful..." She stated, despite the obvious disaster that was going on. Right now, though, you couldn't really tell there was an earthquake, so it was actually kind of nice... "Huh? Oh, yeah, okay Maddy," she stated dumbly, following the admin.

Maddy thought for a second. "Hmmm... I say we scout around the outskirts of the city. On the news they said they could not find the source, so it'd make sense that it's not in the city." Star flew a little lower as they approached Phenac. There was several large cracks in the Earth a couple miles outside the city, all arranged in a circle pattern around the city and slowly but surely making their way towards the target. Sand spilled into the large gaps, down into a dark abyss that could have stretched on forever. Maddy just blinked. "This is a bit worse than I thought it was. All those cracks are going to intersect at the city... It'll cause it to sink."

There's no such cat in the metropolis, who holds all the pieces in monopoly,

for performing surprising illusions, and creating eccentric confusion.

Tommy waved. "Guys! Gu-- wow." Tommy heard the orders after seeing the dust cloud, and whipped out his pokeball. "Get ready Tangela!" Tommy yelled as a Cubone appeared. The battle ensued, pokemon raring to go.

"TANGELA, VINE WHIP!" Tommy shouted as a powerful whip sliced the Cubone's face. Sorta. It still almost put it on edge. Of course, a nice Earthquake went and smacked Tangela, doing critical damage. Then, the main Earthquake whiped both pokemon out. "Gah, ok, cmon Chiko!" The Bayleef appeared.

A short distance off, a Hippopotas appeared. Razor Leaf caught it on its sides, but did very little, suprisingly. A very sudden burst of speed mixed with a Crunch hit Chiko hard, and made her stumble. She retaliated with a quick Vine Whip, hurting almost to the brink of KO-ation (?). Tommy chucked a Pokeball. One... Tw-- and it broke out. The angry hippo lashed out with an unexpected Fissure attack. Chiko jumped out of the way. A Great Ball this time. 3 dings said it all as the pokemon was teleported away. "Phew..." Tommy wiped his forehead.

Then, a Rhyhorn popped out of the ground to give Bayleef a piece of his mind. A nice, very well aimed Horn Drill met it's mark.

Grovyle appeared onto the field, ready for action. By imitating a Vital-Throw stance, he waited. Another Horn Drill, this time easily dodged. Grovyle lifted the heavy bulk of ground-rock rhino, flung it, and then used a nice Leaf Blade/X-scissor to easily bring it to the brink. Tommy smiled as he threw an Ultra Ball and played the White Flute in a smooth, fluid motion. Wriggle, Wriggle. WRIGGLE-NESS TO THE MAX!... Ding! Rhyhorn had been caught.

Tommy grabbed the Rhyhorn's ball and swithched it with Tangela's ball, hopefully out of sight (tell meh if I can't do that.) Tommy sighed and walked over to Maddy.

Hang on, guys, I'm coming! Checking out of the hospital seemed to take an eternity. Release forms had to be signed, my belongings had to be returned (It took an especially long time to get my swords back).... Finally everything had cleared, and I was off, racing to Phenac on Salamence.

Eventually, the sandstorm below came into view. My dragon comes in low and right away a Golem shows up to challenge us. "Salamence, keep us back. Tyrannus, I'm leaving this to you." Golduck appears, suppressing the storm with his ability. He calms himself, ready to unleash his aquatic fury. Golem gets rolling - literally - and bowls over my blue pal for a minor hit. When the rock-type spins around for the next pass, it ends up right in the middle of a Surf attack. Down it goes.

The next pokemon to emerge for a fight is a rather angry-looking Garchomp. It leaps in, biting down with Crunch. Unfortunately the close proximity leaves no room to dodge Tyrannus' Ice Beam. Backed by the earlier Calm Mind, the hit drops the beast in a single blast.

Finally, Claydol joins the fun. Tyrannus strikes fast with Surf, but the bulky antique shrugs off the hit. The gray one draws on its Cosmic Power to get even bulkier and weather the next strike. It then disappears underground. Golduck calms his mind further, sensing the vibrations in the ground through his webbed feet. When the foe strikes with Dig, he's immediately countered by Hydro Pump. This is more than it could withstand, and it finally faints.

Tommy switches around his pokeballs so that they are in a good order. "Hmm... Rhyhorn up front, then Lairon, Marshtomp next..." After a bit of this Tommy looks up. "Ready."
