Me: I thought that was in November? Mom: That's Veteran's Day. Me: What's the difference? Mom: One's in November? Veterans Day is to show respect for all those who went to war, and particularly to celebrate the armistice that ended the end of World War 2. Memorial day is to show respect for all those Americans who died serving their country at war. It originates in the years after the end of the Civil War. I figured it out after the conversation. ^^; Kinda embarrased for us, that we didn't know the difference.. A lot of people don't know the difference though... the only reasons I do is because I was Sgt-at-arms as well as Senior Councilor for my DeMolay chapter as well as the son of a Vietnam vet heavily involved in parades and the VAF.

Streamjumper *snoozles teh Mala back and places her in his pocket* *curls up comfortably in her happy pocket home* heart heart The landlady's note said she'd be showing my apartment some time between 1pm-6:30pm. It's 5:30 now, and no sign of them yet. neutral Maybe she's not going to show it after all. Or else they're going to be annoyingly late. I want to cook dinner, but I didn't want to have people come in while I'm sitting down to eat. This sucks. I hate having strangers invade my apartment enough without all the extra troubles that come with it.

Well I guess not noticing all of this is what I get for never backlogging. I never got to know Davran too well and from what you've said I'm glad I did't. I just hope you'll be ok after time. sad

Streamjumper Just do like I'm gonna do. While you and Mala are on just dress up and tell her "this is my {insert category} outfit, save it please"... then when she tells you she's got it, move on to the next. Just looked at the thread and I don't have the items to do much. x:
