Tatsuman Goldriff Tatsuman Goldriff Snake... You guys have can't really think Sonic is better than Snake. Snake has character development. He does missions with intellect, skill, and not all of the missions are the same. Sonic runs. Anyonecan run. And he can beat the piss out of his own shadow...
I'd like to see Snake beat that. xd Snake beat this piss out of himself as a clone. (Solid Snake kicking Big Boss's a**.. Athough Naked Snake is cooler.) Besides, a shadow? Whoop-dee-doo. Snake can take down Metal Gears Rex, Ray, and also the nuclear warhead firing Shagohad. Along with bosses with specific and cool abilities. Like the pain, the fear, the joy, the end, vulcan raven, etc. It's proving how fast he is. This means that he can move faster than the speed of light. Snake can't top that.
Hell, no one short of Pre-Crisis Superman can.
[edit] And wait a sec, Snake didn't beat any of those except himself as a clone and the Metal Gears. Big Boss did all of those. Solid Snake is Naked Snake as far as I'm concerned. Like Original, like clone. If Naked Snake was a character in Brawl, he'd have the same moves, however he's not. But Solid Snake is an acual CLONE. So it all works out. especially if solid can beat Naked, whom beat all of those guys.

Goldriff It's physically impossible for anything to move faster than the speed of light. I can find out who said this. But I know it was a famous mind. Sonic may be very fast, but it's not possible to move faster than the speed of light. Granted video games aren't 'possible' but still. Speed means nothing if you can't use it. (like when you have to go past mines that SNAKE can lay down.) Physics don't mean jack in Video Games. Obviously he can if he punched out his own shadow with little to no effort.
Sonic has rebuilt machines and reprogrammed them in half a second tops, hacked into computers, and spindashed through steel like paper.

In fact, if I remember right, in SA for Dreamcast (and Gamecube, woot ^^) Sonic's theme song actually said "rolling around at the speed of sound..." or something like that...

Let's face it, Snake is for a more mature audience than sonic. Sonic games are simple: Run! (and jump a little here and there) MGS has thought, plot, and detail. I'm not going to be able to convince you, that's clear. But Snake, with his more realistic approach, appeals to me more, than a blue hedgehog with no weaknesses. But apparently Sonic is flawless. Even so, what fun is it to be someone that requires no skills to use because he's so suped-up?

Actually, his fastest clocked speed is 765 MPH. Almost twice the speed of sound.
