"Thank you," Miyuki beamed up at Starr before tugging her little brother along, "Come on, you'll like the yard."
At least she liked the yard, but she liked the little stream and the flowers, in a desert any sort of garden was a nice thing.

Starr smiled and gave a slight curtsey before she turned and headed back inside.
Andarien followed after Miyuki, his eyes wide as he took in the sight of the yard. Between the little stream and the grass and the flowers and the food garden, he hadn't seen anything like this since being in the Westland.
"It's pretty," he breathed, a smile crossing his face.
Earendil chuckled and led Lin over to the swing. "Might as well get comfortable before Ninako and Nineko come," he grinned at her.

Lin smiled upon seeing the swing, she had quite a few good memories about that swing, and the stream, "The swing as usual right?"
"Let's sit on the cushions," Miyuki continued to tug Andarien along.
Since that was where the table was.

Earendil grinned at Lin. "But of course," he replied as they arrived at the swing. He held it steady for Lin to sit before taking a seat himself and setting it rocking ever so gently.
Andarien's eyes lit up when he saw where Miyuki was ushering him. "Pillows!" he exclaimed, letting go of her dress and running forward. He pounced on one of the cushions, and then lay down on it, closing his eyes and smiling widely.

"Don't go to sleep yet," Miyuki told him as she joined him.
Instead of laying down she sat on her knees, they were really comfy pillows so she didn't mind.
"We still have lunch."

Andarien rolled onto his back and squinted through the bright sunlight up at Miyuki. "Yeah ... I am hungry," he admitted.
He sat up suddenly, startled, when the back door of the inn opened again and Rigel, his hair cut short now, stepped outside. He smiled widely when he saw the four of them, and he called out a warm greeting to Lin and Earendil.
Andarien shuffled closer to Miyuki. "Who's that?" he whispered, staring openly at Rigel.

"Hello Rigel! It's good to see you again," Lin called from where she was leaning against Earendil.
In truth she probably talked to him less than Soronume.
"That's ada's nineko," Miyuki murmured.

"As it is to see all of you," Rigel replied with a smile. "Congratulations on your marriage, the two of you. Word travels fast in the Aldrich family."
Of course he wasn't part of the Aldrich family, but his daughter had married into it and the queen would never let news like this go unannounced to the family of her family.
Earendil smiled widely at his great-grandfather. "Thank you," he said warmly. "You'll remember Miyuki, of course, but you won't yet have met our son, Andarien."
"I certainly haven't," Rigel agreed, turning to take a good look at the boy.
Andarien looked up at Miyuki, then looked back at Rigel. Was he supposed to say something?

"Say hello," she whispered as she nudged him gently.
She knew her little brother could be quite shy, but so was she at one point or another, even if she didn't remember it so well.

"Hello," Andarien said shyly, giving Rigel a small wave with just his fingertips.
Rigel chuckled. Cute boy.
"And how are you doing, Miyuki?" he asked her with a smile. "Life still as exciting as it was when you were little?"
He hadn't seen her since she'd had only three tails, after all, so a lot had happened since then.

Miyuki didn't even have to think about it, she just nodded with a "uh huh" sound added to it.
"We met a lot of interesting people on this trip," she told him.

"Do tell," a feminine voice came from behind Rigel. There was a soft click as the inn door closed again and Soronumë stepped into view. She smiled around at everyone, the sunlight highlighting the chestnut streaks in her otherwise black hair. "Welcome back, Earendil. Lin. Miyuki."
She tilted her head slightly, her eyes bright and curious as she looked at Andarien. "And who is this?"

Miyuki put one arm around Andarien and grinned brightly up at Soroume.
"This is my little brother Andarien He came out of a music box after we left the Borderlands."
At least it she figured it was the music box because Andarien was so attached to it was a baby.

Soronumë laughed, making Andarien blush and press up against Miyuki. "A Gaian music box, I should imagine," she giggled.
"But of course," Earendil grinned, still sitting, relaxed, on the swing with Lin. "Hello, Ninako."
Soronumë moved to sit on the swing with Earendil and Lin, sitting slightly sideways so that she was facing towards the couple. "So, do tell us," she beamed at them. "Many interesting people, I heard Miyuki say."

Lin giggled at that, "Well, I would say a few, but seeing as we visited quite a number of people we knew of whenever we stopped in a place that was familiar, the number is most certainly increased."
She grinned at Soronume.
"Honestly, I think Miyuki must have gotten tired after a while of people having known her but she not remembering them sometimes, but we did gather a few new traveling companions..."
Which left Lin to explain the additional companions that Soronume probably had not heard about quite yet.
