Mine can be too. I reference lots of stuff I'm exposed to. Which includes many 80's movies that many of my peers have never seen.

Well, who doesn't. North America has been flooded with Japanese culture. The only place that's more flooded with more Japanese culture than North America, is Japan.

I know a lot about their non-anime TV and movies. Things like Ultraman, that didn't go over all that well over here, but has been huge in Japan for like twenty years.
