Racquel situated herself for a rather long wait. She sat down on her legs and picked up a magazine. She fliped threw not even looking down at it. "Tch....This is so boreing. I've gone threw a personality change, and there is noone to spend it on." She mummbled. Actually looking down at the magazine. She saw an add posted by her news job. They had mentioned in it that the strange animal attacks were getting worse. She sighed hating her own kind even more.

Lily smiled at Shin's comment.
"Okay, first of all...I can knock back anything without a problem and second, you could have had me but you just moved too slow" she laughed and took another drag before looking back at Racquel to make sure she was still behaving.

Shin chuckled softly as he took another sip of his drink and smiled at Lily. This seemed like a more romantic vampire than the one previously around Las Noches. It seemed that his trip out of New York had brought new meaning to his extremely long life. He had faced his own mortality, the mortality that had taken over seven hundred years to appear. So Shin had taken a new view in life, at least for the moment.
“It’s never too late” Shin replied in a whisper as he leaned over to her and refilled her glass. He gave her a slight wink and bit his lower lip as he leaned back on the chair and placed the bottle on the floor. He was still smiling as his pale blue eyes wandered into her eyes.

Lily smirked and took another drink before taking a long drag on her cigarette and looking back at Shin.
"I'm afraid it is," she smiled sweetly, trying to soften the blow "I'm a one man woman, and I finally found a decent one. If it wasn't him, it would be you, sweetie"
She looked down, feeling guilty. She loved Veroen, and she liked Shin but she knew she couldn't have both. She convinced herself that Shin just wanted to seduce her and then he'd leave. She had to convince herself of something bad about him in order to keep her composure and stand her ground.

“Why can’t you have two? Me and Veroen both live very dangerous lives”. Shin whispered as he kept looking at her, he winked slightly before taking another sip of his glass. Shin was a good psychic, and especially if Lily had been caught unexpected. He read that she was trying to think of his misdeeds as a way to control herself. But Shin wanted all restraints to be loosened, so if they both kept knocking back from this whiskey, even the ancients would get drunk.

"I don't think he would like that arrangement very much" she smiled and took another shot. Oh god, was he trying to get her drunk? She knew how she got when she was drunk and she'd rather not goto that place right now.

Shin smiled in slight defeat. “Then let us just enjoy each other’s company while we wait for Alasdair to show up.” Shin replied as he finished his drink, then he refilled his glass with the aged whiskey. This time he looked back to Lily and smiled, motioning the bottle towards her glass. “You want another?”

"Yes, please," she smiled "you'll find a good girl, I'm sure" she winked at him and took another long drag from her cigarette.
"I mean this is New York, it's not exactly like you don't have any other options"

Shin laughed softly as he finished his glass in a hurry and placed it back on the table, after pouring Lily a new glass and setting the bottle on the ground. He grinned as he looked at Racquel and leaned back on the chair. “So you actually pity me?” Shin replied with a bit of disdained.

"I didn't mean to upset you," she sat back in her chair, feeling a little uncomfortable "I wasn't pitying you, I was just saying is all"
In the moment she felt a bit lonely herself, Veroen had his work and she was always waiting for him. It had been days since she'd seen him and she spent more time alone in his apartment than anything else. She missed him and was angry with him at the same time. The alcohol was beginning to help though. She downed the rest of her cup before grabbing the bottle and filling it back up to the top, not half way.

Shin laughed again as he saw Lily take the bottle from his side and fill the glass again. He could feel the uneasiness of his mind, and he just smiled as he turned back to face her. His smile was warm and reassuring. He wanted to say so much, he wanted to say that she should forget about Veroen for a night, but he wouldn’t say it, but he left it unguarded in his mind. He just stood in silence as his pale blue eyes wandered around Lily’s beautiful eyes.

Lily took a long drink from her cup and kept her eyes down, she felt ashamed. She should be waiting at the apartment for her man to get home, but he never did come home and she never even got a moment alone with him. She wondered where the girl she was went, the girl that didn't give a s**t about anything and would already be sitting in Shin's lap and flirting mercilessly. She thought about it for a minute before getting angry, she was being domesticated like a dog. She settled for a man that was never around and that, not only made her mad, but it hurt. She invested so much in a relationship that was currently non-exsistent considering his lack of participation. She might as well be single right now.
She got up from the table and walked over to the wall, leaned against it and lit a cigarette.
"I'm sorry," she looked at Shin through watery, near teary eyes "it's just really hard right now"

Shin smiled warmly as Lily looked back to him. When his pale blue eyes met her eyes, he knew what she was going though, he knew she was hurting. There was no other option but to get up and walk to the wall beside her. He stood in front of her with a warm smile. “It’s ok Lily.” He whispered reassuringly as he fought the urge to hug her. It would be a perfect scene.

Lily fought back tears and the urge to curl up in Shin's chest. All she wanted from the beginning was to be treated right and to be loved and she knew that Veroen was falling for her but he never seemed to be around long enough for them to get anywhere. She didn't know what she should do with the situation that was presented to her.
"I'm really sorry," she whispered before tears started rolling down her cheeks.

Shin sighed but kept smiling at Lily. It seemed she was heavily confused with what to do now. Maybe Lily had just rushed with the first guy that went with her, or maybe not. Shin was not there to judge. He kept smiling as he moved closer to her and slowly wrapped his arms around her shoulder and pulled her close to him.
