[Az: Paris: Beauvais Manor; Study]

As the artist left, Az lazily rolled his eyes, her theatrics on her departure making him want to puke.

Of course, now that it was just him and Elleon, he could get down to business. With a sudden breeze, the air around El and him was stilled except for what lay between them. Perfect for blocking out anyone trying to listen in. He liked his privacy, after all.

"Was just going to be one thing, but after that..." He rolled his eyes again, leaning against the wall, arms crossed over his hairy, still bare chest. "First, though: What do you think of her...plans? Of course, you're free not to tell me, as I'm sure you know."

[ Riku ; Sora : Red Rose : Lounge Area ]

After Riku heard the announcement, he sighed and shrugged toward the others in the game (Sora, Dawn, and Demyx). They were halfway through the round, they couldn't finish it--not that Sora had much to lose anyhow. "Alright, we'll call it a draw."

"Thank you," he said with exasperation, tossing his cards toward the center and taking his last remaining gem fragments. The other three had been fairly evenly matched--Dawn and Riku with their experience, Demyx with his perfect poker face. "Not much I can get from a moogle with this anyway--"

Without warning, the ship seemed to pass through an odd barrier, and everyone within would have noticed. It was impossible not to--it was a sudden feeling of undeniable warmth and comfort. Even those in a deep sleep would have been softly awoken and, while not entirely rejuvenated, given enough energy to at least stay awake.

Those with hearts would have immediately felt the positivity of light; no matter their worries, burdens, or fears, the sensation gave them an inexplicable reassurance--it did not demean the concerns, but subtly made the people understand that they would overcome them.

Even the Nobodies and Prote would have felt an odd sensation--it was welcoming. It's not as if they suddenly had emotion or feeling, but logically, it was an assurance that they were safe here.

"Whoa," Sora said, blinking and grinning.

"Was that...?"

"The Cornerstone!" Sora replied all too happily. "But I don't remember it being this powerful--I wonder what happened while we were gone?"


[ Kyle : Red Rose : Sleeping Quarters ]

As the ship passed through the barrier of the Cornerstone, Kyle was suddenly awakened by an intense conflict of feelings--the positive influence of the Cornerstone, and a blatant discomfort throughout his left arm that wasn't painful, but close. His entire face screwed up in an (admittedly humorous) attempt to capture both feelings. It didn't take long for him to figure out the source.

Must be somewhere with a lot of Light--Disney, I'd wager.

Getting up out of bed and trying his best to ignore the sensation in his arm, he stepped out of his room just in time for an announcement from Beatrix.

"Beginning landing sequence. Everyone make your way to exit ramp."

"Well, alrighty then," he mused, walking down the hall to make his way through the ship, not sure who else would be stirring from their slumber.


[[ Note: In case it's not obvious yet, this should be a completely positive experience. It's not an illusion of good feeling, it is directly making you feel good or better by bringing the heart's light closer to the front.

Also, I haven't actually landed/opened the ramp yet for a reason, you'll see, let's just move along now~ ]]

{Bobbi, Demyx .:. Red Rose .:. Lounge}

Demyx looked up from his hand as that feeling of welcome washed over the ship. Just across the way in an armchair, Bobbi was draped in it sideways, legs dangling over one arm and her head dangling over the other, with the cup that had held her tea held in her mouth and propped on her face. She'd been like that for the past several minutes; poker games were boring to her, so she'd been trying to let gravity draw the last drops of tea to her mouth. Just as Demyx looked up, a faint smile could be seen at the corners of her lips, just barely visible below the cup.

She sat up, catching the cup in one hand as it tumbled down her face, and her grin widened. She caught Demyx's gaze and she winked, then rolled out of the chair and onto her feet.

"Party time~" she sang, placing the cup on top of Sora's cards, and clapping Dawn on the shoulder. "Who wants to take bets on who our 'official greeters' will be?"

[Axel: Red Rose: Lounge]

“No kidding- that’s new.” Axel remarked rubbing the space on his chest obviously metaphysically empty but resonating with the sensation of the unspoken gesture. Rising up from his chair he stretched his arms over his head and walked to the closest window opening of the ship’s hull. It was an unusual …sensation- if that word had merit. But it was impossible to ascertain a fitting word to describe this, this feeling of non-feeling.

But it brought back earlier mutterings exchanged between them concerning the heart and Axel was once again thinking as the vestige of Disney came into closer view. “Well- “ he turned to face the others- “shall we go see? I bet on the ol man pointy hat.” Crossing the room he exited into the halls on route to the doors.

[Joe: Red Rose: Joe's Room]

Had Joe been woken up normally, he probably would have snarled. Too tired...and even if he'd been tossing and turning with his nightmares, he still acknowledged that any sleep would have been good.

And yet he wasn't as grumpy as he felt he should have been. A small part didn't like that, he didn't like the feeling of anything clamping down on his emotions but him. But then again...it came with enough energy that he didn't feel like he was going to fall off his feet.

The notice of their approaching of Disney Castle and landing reached his ears, and he let out a sigh as he sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. People...he wasn't good with crowds...in a fight at least he could let adrenaline take over and focus on fighting. But in a peaceful situation...and since he just asked to be leader, now was not the time to withdraw into a shell.

He got up, the dress sphere reforming his socks, boots, and shirt and armor. By the time he reached the door, his cape was back, too, and he opened it, stepping out as the eyepatch just finished. This wasn't going to be fun for him...but maybe it was what he, and everyone else, needed.

[Elleon ~ Paris ~ Beauvais Manor: Study]

Elleon smirked and shrugged a bit, adjusting the neckline of her silk robe, "I say she's compensating for something, or at least it seems like it. Coming to me to amp up her monster serves two purposes--one, the beast itself is improved, and two, she shows me that I have something of her to fear. Or so she thinks, anyway. She's trying to compete."

'Only time will tell if she actually can.'

With a sigh, the blonde shifted in her seat and pulled out another piece of parchment to make note of what Kai wanted to pass off to Jadis later. "Anyway. Proceed."

{Bobbi, Demyx .:. Red Rose .:. Lounge (and we're walking... we're walking... we're walking...)}

"Oh, barely controlled chaos, I'm sure," Bobbi responded to Sora. She fell into step beside him, and grinned over at the Keyblader. "It's so rarely anything less."

Demyx followed along behind the others, half of his attention on the chatter. The rest was analyzing that sensation of welcome. It was the closest thing to a "feeling" he'd gotten in a very long time. He turned to Axel, and kept his voice low to avoid disturbing the others

"So," he said, "What do you make of that Cornerstone thing? I mean you felt that too, right?"
