"Hmmm..." Maddy let her wounded finger drip blood over some more of the shards. They all turned spiky as well. "Ferric's skin must be comprised of this special steel mineral." She called it 'special steel mineral' because even though it was definitely steel, it was of a different and unknown variety. "I guess when it reacts with blood, it causes spikes. Of course, he'd have control over when it would do that... How interesting. Gets you to think of what else these demons can be capable of."

"Does it only work with Demon and Half Demon blood?" Arekku questioned, now looking at the shards. He returned Tess and went back to staring.

"...What would happen if your blood dripped on a pokemon?..." Donner asked, afraid of what the results might be.

"Probably. I see no reason why a human would have this particular power. I mean, using up blood to grow these all the time would probably kill a human eventually." Maddy closed her eyes and thought. "Either, demons produce blood very fast, or they do not require blood to sustain life." Maddy then looked at Donner. "On? That would probably do nothing. But if it entered the blood stream it could have some effects. The effects would depend on the demon."

"ya know, that makes sense." Tommy agreed with Maddy. "This is great. The more we learn, the easier it might be to learn how to defeat these demon peoples." A look of determination and excitement was in Tommy's eyes.

"Well, the only reason I ask is because if a Demon wanted to they could probably shed a lot of Human blood and do things like this. How would their powers react...?" He thought for a few seconds, "I mean, say Ferric had the chance to spread things like this all over the city and then used the pokemon, as he had been doing, to kill the people living there." He was actually thinking too much for his own good so he shut up and looked around. "Or I'm very wrong and am crazy to think about it." He shrugged.

Donner had now become very contemplative, looking at the spike on the back of his palm. It was weird to think that it was of the same "family" as the shard that had just grown spikes.

"Well, Ferric is done with. I doubt there will be any other demons that can grow steel spikes. But... This just shows us that when it comes to fighting them, almost anything is possible." She frowned. "I mean, there's 15 left and chances are they are all completely unique. I've... seen fractions of their power in my dreams. They're like nothing we've ever fought. We have to keep in mind that we can expect almost anything in these battles to come." She played around with a ball of black fire. "Hmm..."

TOmmy noticed Donner's manner, and said, "Both metal, but nowhere close related." Tommy said to noone in particular. "And yeah, that could've been bad." Tommy agreed with Arreku.
And then turning to Maddy, "YOu're right. Chances are, our chances can get worse if they keep injuring us like this. Not to be pessimistic or anything, but it's the truth." Tommy said wisely. It was true, like it or not.

Donner sighed, deciding that thinking about the spikes would only confuse him even more. So, instead, he picked up the remote and turned on the television, wondering what would be on. It automatically flipped to the news. "A strange power-outage has occured through-out Hearthome City and the surrounding areas, apparently caused by some sort of extreme electrical overload. We'll bring you more information as we receive it," the reporter said. Donner gulped. "Oh s**t," he sighed, standing and quickly walking towards the teleporter. That was where he was trying to find on the map before, because that's where Vixen had dropped Sammy off.

Tommy watched it as soon as Donner had, almost saying the same too. "That's not good." Tommy stated as he geared up and rushed out after the Lucario.

Donner looked behind him to see that Tommy had begun following. He sighed a bit. "Good, I'll need all of the help I can get," he stated glumly. His trainer had nearly killed him last time he had tried to wrangle her back up, and he didn't want that again. Vixen came down from the sky (he hadn't been in his pokeball for days) and allowed Donner to climb upon him.

Maddy left through the teleporter, thinking she might as well lend a hand, and took off into the sky on Star's back, following close behind Donner and Vixen.

Tommy hopped onto his hoverboard, ready to go. "Flaffy, shoot a few Thunderbolts at me!" Tommy called back to HQ, his electric type coming out. He hooked Flaffy's pokeball onto his belt, and then got ready. Now. A few lighting bolts flew towards Tommy. He redirected one very barely, dodged the second, and was flung on to the sands by a third. "Good job..." Tommy said, staggering back up, and returning Flaffy. "K, let's go." Tommy said hopping back up and flying off after Donner, Vixen, and Maddy on her Staraptor.

Arekku rushed out of the teleporter and tossed a pokeball, revealing Stormy, his odd colored Altaria and climbed on. Following after the others. "It's my fault she's rampaging like this..." Arekku muttered. He knew it was Sammy, there was no other explanation, plus Donner was the one that started off.
