-Dessynea- I don't think the letter grade is why its gay, I think it is the percentage. An A- is still an A, but a 93.8 is not a 94.
Well we are graded by percentages too, they just have a letter label. Instead of saying "I scored between 94 and 100," we can say "I got an A."
We actually didn't have - here prior to college, 90-100 was an A, 80-89 was B, and so on with 0-59 being a F. But in college we do have minuses and they ******** with your GPA. That's why letter grades are gay. We only got them on tests, but an A- here is the same as a B+, which is anything from 85 to 90. So when I got a B+ it wasn't good enough, even though it would have been an A- depending on which teacher was grading it. There's much less room to judge a number. 85-90% is pretty damn good, but B+ is "just slightly above average", wtf?
Also I got a 100 once, and I think A+ wouldn't have done that justice. cool

An A+ is usually above a 100 like if there was extra credit on the test, it's kind of weird that we have everything but A+ in college and we only had A+ in high school...

I'm not even sure if they have a definitive scale for it, since we don't have it on report cards or anything. That's probably why I don't like it so much; it seems like an unnecessary judgment.
Also 110 also looks better than 100. razz I know someone who got a 112 once because she was that a**l about extra credit.

Why is it when I'm playing my music and Mel brings her music-blaring cellphone into the room, I'm the one who gets asked to turn off my music no matter what?
We have 3 people here over 35 who would love to hear some Hendrix and Floyd and we have to listen to your music just because you like it?
Seriously, turn off your 20-song playlist for one ******** hour.
