That doesn't make it not unethical, there's still an interaction between actual people. Whether it's a roleplay tournament or a foot race or an art contest, there's still a requisite ethics to the running of the event. There is never a circumstance where that changes, because ethics are always present in the interaction between people as a group.
Even if it's just a hobby, you should have standards, and if someone is doing a bad job or is being unfair, there's absolutely no reason to NOT call them out on it. I mean, no one should carry a chip on their shoulder about it away from the PC or anything - it's not even remotely that serious - but if you sit down to spend a few hours doing whatever hobby it is that you do.. then you have the right to argue that s**t be done right within that hobby, you know?
I mean, I barely even roleplay anymore. But even if I'm just here in the OOC while reading for class or writing papers, I'm still gonna call something out if I think it's unfair, because.. it's unfair. Just because I don't take it seriously doesn't make it less unfair, or mean that I shouldn't draw attention to the issue.

Despite the fact that I want to make sure that my personal bias doesn't result in double standards or otherwise effect an event that I am apart of negatively....
I would say that my personal bias is better than his. People like my personal bias. Cept for you but most people like the way I do things.
I haven't had a
"Sieg stop it, I'm enjoying this fight/RP WAY too much"
but I'm sure I will eventually.
