Am hanging out with my 12-13yr old cousin today. O_o I remember as a kid I used to share the hotel room with my mom/stepdad. room with 2 double beds, or we kids'd sleep on the floor, just bring blankets, lol. But she's staying over. razz

She's hanging with the cats because I can't get the DVD player to play. xD Or get any channels to work on the TV THING. But we can watch something on the computer which's why I've got it on. ALSO TO TALK TO YOU GUIYZ. :3

Don't be nervous, Casseh. They've worked there - they've dealt with new hires and their questions before, they'll expect you to ask questions. Asking questions is 100% better than trying to figure it out yourself and accidentally doing something wrong that they have to fix.

By the end of this week I think I will be able to forgive myself of all the sins I've ever committed, including the huge sin of being such a lazy sloth that I've been carrying around for years. Because I am feeling the whip of honest labour on my back. (kinda right between my shoulder blades, actually! XD ))

I hurt. Now, the full 8 hour shift was new, more work/exercise than I've done in a while, so of course I'm gonna hurt a bit. I lifted like 2-3 boxes wrong and felt it in my lower back and I'm praying to God it doesn't go out like it randomly did just before christmas.

But I actually kind of had to close by myself. O_o the last person left at four, so I had to put out more stuff (strawberries, lettuce, stuff on sale that would go fast) I forgot the time for a little while and didn't realize it was 5:10 and I had to leave at 6:00 and I still had to take out the trash and get some boxes to the lawn and garden center.

So I ended up finally getting out of there at 6:25. Had to bike home because the bus doesn't come after 5:18. Yeah.

Never have biked home from Wal-mart before. There or back. Got a bit lost for like 5 mins but found my way to the right bike path.

...... and it was also raining. Kinda sprinkling at first. And then a hard sprinkle. And I had forgotten my awesome water/windproof biking jacket at home, the possibility of rain never occuring to me. xD

Took about 40mins to bike home at a moderate pace. Only 2 hills to go up, otherwise it was good.

And, lol, here is my work schedule-

tomorrow- 6am- 3pm
Wed- 5am (I am opening, yes, on my third day) - 1pm
Thurs- 8am- 4pm (can take the bus both ways! Yay!)
Friday- 10am - 7pm
Saturday- 9am- 6pm
Sunday- Offffffff thank godddd

So w/o taxes I should have like.. well I claimed myself on the form so hopefully I'll have like $300.

ALSO. I HOPE TO GOD I EITHER LOSE 20 POUNDS BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK, OR AM DEAD. BECAUSE THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS.

Imma try to call my cousin and ask if maybe there's a possibility of last minute maybe one of her friends who lives in town and gets up early can drive me tomorrow and wednesday. That would be cool. Sooooooo cool.

I am tired and have to go to bed in like 45 mins. Srs. Goddamn it's a good thing I have ice cream. A real good thing.

Also there was a cutecutecute black guy that was in the back talking to .. the girl who's in charge of me and the others. And he was all 'you gonna come see me later?' and I'm like 'huh?'

I thought he took care of like direct depositing or whatnot.

But I ended up going over to the bank in wal-mart and opening up an account there during my lunch hour. Suckiest thing is it took so ******** long I had like 15 minutes out of my hour to eat. sad And I also forgot a spoon. XD So I had to drink my yogurt and fish out the strawberries and my egg salad and pea sandwich was all messy.

I AM AFRAID OF BECOMING A ZOMBIE LIKE A LOT OF THE PEOPLE THERE LOOK LIKE.

My back hurts so badly and I feel like I'm going to vomit. (Though the latter is probably due to waiting in the bright sun for 20 mins while consuming vast amounts of cold grapes like a starving wildebeast.

ALSO I ******** HATE WATERMELONS! WTF! Next time I'm crawling in the goddamned box so I can lift them better. I felt things moving around that shouldn't be and heard noises in my back when I had to bend over and lift those ******** up.

I feel so bad though because there's these shorter, overweight older ladies who work there and I'm like 'I'm young, I should be able to lift this s**t!' and yet I struggle with one box.

I hurt so bad I'm srsly like crying a bit and between monday and saturday I have like.. 46 HOURS OF WORK.

But I actually will have 38 of those just this week. And I'm thinking- do I get overtime pay or what? Cuz that's 6hours over part time, I'm pretty sure.

I would kinda be thrilled if they were like- 'oops, can't do taht' and gave me off like thursday or something. Lulzzzzzzzzzzzz

I wanna make some chicken salad for tomorrow with nuts and grapes and s**t in it but I want to be in bed by 6 so I can get enough sleep to wake up by 3 and I don't know if I'll be able to make it on the bike tomorrow. have to pop lots of pills.

My feet do hurt but I have a really good pair of shoes, so they're a lot better. It's just so much standing which's getting to me. Hurtzzzzz.

That's retail, darling. When that first check comes in you'll feel better. And most of your pain and aches will fade with time.

I wouldn't suggest going home early in your first week... but you have to do what you need to do in order to cope, so it's entirely your prerogative.

I'm surprised you don't have a cart or a six-wheeler to move that s**t on. o__O Did you ask if there was an easier method of moving the watermelons? Sometimes co-workers won't address it unless you do first.

Regarding the overtime, no I don't think so, because you were scheduled for it. As I said, 'part time' does not mean actual part time, it just means you aren't guaranteed full time. You won't get overtime unless you get over 46 hours in a paper week or they ask you to stay late and didn't ask you ahead of time. The latter is a Wal-Mart policy.

Chillax, girl, you can do this. And vent all you need to - sometimes it's the only way to keep sane amid all the flurry.
