sorry all first computer I've gotten two in a couple days.
anyhoo sorry bout the magic tangent I can understand the nerd-phobia in regards to such a thing.
Rei,I feel ya sista that's my whole beef with risk,still it was kinda fun.
lets see first we had poker night,then it turned into DnD night,then into Magic.
we still do DnD and to a lesser extent poker sometimes but basically that's my tabletop rap sheet.
btw in regards to poker anyone played "Follow the b***h"?
its by far my favorite poker variant.
oh and has anyone thought of the group shot they want?

Mostly because it was retarded with the kind of s**t someone could pull with some good dice rolls, and me with bad dice rolls gonk You know in war numbers don't always amount to victory, the dice act as that unknown factor that makes a difference in a battle... Playing DnD there Gihn? You should be playing BESM! I mean why NOT play an anime based Tabletop RPG? I mean play something a little less traditional why don'tcha =P
Well I love being a nerdy and a lot of nerdy stuff...but with magic I know less about that then I do about cars. Momi can tell you how little I know about cars o.o;;

magic's actually really easy,although the rulebook is like almost two inches thick...
and I do break tradition,I also Play "World of Darkness" which I actually find superior to DnD in many ways.
and whats BESM?

You don't know BESM and you call yourself an anime and roleplaying fan?!
BESM = Big Eyes Small Mouth Tabletop Roleplaying Game.
You should get it in Tri-Stat, because playing it in D20 is silly. You also get a lot more freedom when it comes to Tri-stat. You should probably get the 3rd edition so it's less insane, or put some serious limiters on the 2nd edition. Magic and Items are broken. Not to mention Attack Combat Mastery was retarded with one of those things "EVERYBODY should max this out because it's THAT awesome and UBER cheap".

Gihn_the_wolf do I? I wasn't aware I did,but I guess. and it already sounds like it has major balance issues though. It was only in 2nd edition that that was real balance issues. In the new version of the game, 3rd edition, it's a lot more balanced. 3rd edition doesn't have a lot of stupid stuff. Of course since it's like GURPS Light...and there's enough freedom to actually create ANYTHING and to combine EVERYTHING a lot...you need a good GM to make a proper setting that can please everyone.

well the same is true with any tabletop rpg really.
thats why I love WoD so much,its so much more focused on the storytelling and less on the numbers.
well then this BESM sounds neat mayhap next I have the cash to spare I'll look into a copy of it.
oh and Rei I'll be collecting the info from everyone as well,but for starters send me a pm with exactly as you would like to be protraied in the group pic I will do k?
if you want your currently avi then ma'fraid you'll have to dress it down a little.

Well then I'll have to figure out something...a new look then...
Well you can download it off torrents to take a look at it to see if it's worth a hard copy. Although the same is NOT true of every role playing game. I mean in few other RPGs can you have giant robots in one game, ninjas vs samurai, something out of Slayers or DnD, and then Sci-Fi space battles. Or even have a star ship starting wrecking havok in a samurai vs ninja world. Hell there's even a manual on how to play BESM Star Wars!
