Ohhhhh Kari, whatever you pick, be CAREFUL. Definitely research the webhosting company you pick and get at LEAST two or three other sources to back them up, no matter how good they sound.
I went with this "great" company last year that appeared to give me everything I asked for... then had no tech support, and no apparent way to set up what I thought should be in my account (I think it was an SQL database that I wanted or something). When I went to cancel... they took my money and ran. cry
Powweb both Meriko and I can vouch for, and it's honestly one of the best deals out there.

The character's are cat girls. Sooo cute!
I'm actually watching panyo panyo digi charat. 3nodding 1 of them is a bunny girl. 3nodding I started a dejiko edit last week. sweatdrop

Kari: If you pay for webhosting, then generally you do not have any banner ads forced onto your webpages. Banner ads are how some webhosts try to keep their services free.

Right -- you shouldn't have to have banner ads with ANY company you're paying good money for webhosting.
sweatdrop I wish I could link you to my site or at least Meriko's to show you how slick and fast they are, but both of them are down for our own reasons at the moment. *lol* I'm rebuilding (though my site is snoopable, as long as you never click the Home link, by taking the back way in) and Meriko is in the process of transferring her domain. Neither of the situations have anything to do with Powweb, though.
