"Its not what he has to say that scares me Maki, you know that. I wouldn't want him to come after you, to hurt you. I can deal with what he dishes out but I don't think i could bear to see him hurt you." He wanted Maki to understand his concern. But he didn't think it was working.

"Thats not the point and not comforting either Maki.... as much as I can hate him I don't want to have him get hurt or have a heart attack either." He moved a little away from Makis chest and gave him a small glare. He may hate his father for what he did all those years but he was still his father and for some reason still loved him.

he sighed softly "I'm sorry..." he looked at the pavement a little "then what do we do?" he asked after a moment of thinking "I don't want to lose you... you're the best thing that's ever happened to me..."

He sighed and lifted Makis head to look at him, "I don't want to loose you either Maki. You're the best think I've ever had in my life. I'd still be at home if it weren't for you. I'd probably be dating some girl by now if it wasn't for you........ I also don't want to see you get hurt because of me."

"you want to know why my father's not with us?" he asked softly "he was abusive... to all of us, not just me... Me the most because I was the youngest and couldn't seem to do anything right..." he spoke softly "I came out of that..." he took Nate's face in his good, not broken, hand and rubbed his cheek softly "I'm not afraid of you're father because of what happened to me, and I know that my brothers are behind me on everything that I do." he kissed Nate softly and then pulled away, looking deep in to his eyes "Nate... there's nothing more I want then to be able to hold you in my arms every night, with our children, and know that you're father has no influence on how our lives turn out... I still would want him in it, don't get me wrong... but if he won't respect us, and how we live, I don't want him in our house... That's simply how I was raised"

He leaned into Maki and kissed him softly. "We need to get you cleaned up." He wasn't as scared anymore. And knew he couldn't leave Maki ever.

He couldn't help but giggle. "I promise and I'm sorry." He kissed Maki and then looked at his hand again, "We really need to get that checked out."

"I can tell you now that I broke it... wouldn't be the first time" he stood up, still holding Nate in his arms happily "but I can wait until we get to a car to go get a cast put on it again"

He fronded at hearing it was broke. "Then lets get home to get the care.... And you can put me down." He kissed Maki quickly.
