Allen stepped foot outside the Hotel. The sunlight was fading quickly from the sky, but you really couldn't tell due to all the streetlights and signs running 24/7. He chuckled, looking around, wondering if everyone else was still inside.
Lydia finally followed him out of the building, she peered around taking in more of the city as her trainer walked around. She watched people hurrying along the streets to get to work or make it their parking spot so they wouldn't have to pay a fine, and the people wearing the weirdly revealing outfits walking around getting into seemingly random cars. She mostly liked the various people with crowds around them playing guitar and singing or break dancing or even standing very still for impressive amounts of time.
After a short while they ended up on one of the various docks at the watery edge of the city. Here, they finally took a break on a bench to look out over the sea. Lydia excitedly watched the boats that were out on the water and made up various little scenarios about what each of them might be doing in her head. She planted herself on the back of the bench and bounced back and forth, humming to herself quietly.
Allen typed up a message quickly saying something along the lines of the dock he was on was a surprisingly decent hangout and sent it to everyone. Why did he sent it to everyone? No idea.

Caleb showed up not long after, texting away with his TADS. Marshtomp walked right beside his favorite human, proudly wearing his t-shirt that he had won at the ice cream shop.
"Yo," Caleb called with a wave. He didn't even look up from his typing. He squinted for a moment at the screen. Huh, better signal here at the docks too. How convenient. Marshtomp glanced at him, wondering if Caleb would pay better attention if he was pushed off the dock. The water type huffed a bit.

Lydia noticed the others' approach before Allen did, but her excited waving got his attention and and he turned just in time to see Caleb's wave. Were it not for Lydia he really wouldn't have noticed the teammate approaching, what with the sounds of the city behind them. "Texting someone?" He turned to look back out over the water, "Eh, I'd probably be doing the same thing if I really had anyone to text." The man shrugged, talking more to himself than Caleb. "So what's up?" He looked back up to the other.

"Yes..." Caleb answered quietly. Was it really that obvious? Silly Allen. "Not much...sister just messaging me about trivial stuff..." he added. Like all those water types you keep sending over? Not to mention certain pokémon that were left behind.

"I see." Allen nodded with a sigh. Gee, this guy really wasn't fair company. So chatty. He rolled his eyes to add to the sarcasm in his head. A couple of Wingull flew from a nearby boat out over the water. They drew his attention but only held it for so long, "Anything new?"
Lydia looked over the the Marshtomp and chuckled. She faded into he shadow of the bench to sneak up on the Water type. A few moments later she reached out to tap on his shoulder, quickly withdrawing her hand to hide. "kekekeke!"

"Not really...just aquarium update stuff...how her day went...those water pokémon I sent..." he scrolled through and briefly summarized. Marshtomp gave his trainer a look. Pretty sure Allen wants to know about you, not your sister! He snatched the TADS away. Enough texting for now Caleb. You need a break!
Marshtomp blinked and spun around when someone tapped on his shoulder. No one there. Odd. At least Caleb wasn't being haunted anymore.

Allen's eyebrows went up in surprise when the Pokemon snatched the TADS away but ended up chuckling. "Oh, well that's pretty cool I guess." He thought about the Aquarium in Kalos, "I wonder if there's one here in Unova... An Aquarium I mean." He shrugged, deciding to look it up later. "I've been pretty preoccupied looking up things about this region. I found a bunch of great ruins I'd like to explore soon." Something he'd almost lost track of during his time in Kalos was his love of ruins and their place in history. In fact he couldn't wait to go through Route 4 to visit the Desert Resort. Why was that place even called a resort in the first place?
He shook his head a bit, bringing his mind back to the present, "Anything you're looking to do here?"
Lydia reached out again, this time poking the Marshtomp's leg. She was beside herself with joy at his reaction the first time.

"No clue. I could look...but..." he looked over to Marshtomp. Marshtomp was curiously looking down at his feet. He knew he felt something that time! Ruins kinda sounded like fun. If you were like Allen and were into that sort of thing. Hopefully they wouldn't be in a hot or dry location.
Caleb shrugged. "Not sure...besides dealing with those shitheads," he muttered. For being on his TADS so much since they had arrived, he hadn't really looked into what there was to do in Unova. Loosen up Caleb! Have some fun. He rubbed the back of his head, "Rene said something about checking out an amusement park..." Pay more attention to what your sister says!

"Oh yeah! The one in Nimbasa City! I read about it. Not too much though, sounds like it'd be fun." He chuckled, "But before we leave Castelia there's a place I'd really like to find. It's called Castelia Park, apparently it's hard to find but worth it." He's not been able to actually find any specific way to get there, but he keeps hearing it's a really pleasant place if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city.

"Ah...yeah that's probably the one," Caleb agreed. How many amusement parks could there be in Unova? He raised an eyebrow when a park was mentioned. "I've walked around town a bit, haven't seen anything like that," he pointed out. He noticed Marshtomp was the one playing with the TADS now and quickly took it away.

Rei shook the dust from his cloak and strolled to the docks, sipping at a bottle of water.
"Goodness, Countess, that Desert Resort is huge, isn't it?" She squeaked in agreement, happy to have visited the ruins. The two Desert Maniacs made their way to the docks and greeted the fellow Aquans.
"Hello Caleb, Allen," he called out enthusiastically. "Enjoying Castelia City?"

Allen looked up to see Rei approaching. He gave a short wave, "Definitely. At least, I think it's better here than stuck caught up in there." He thumbed toward the rest of the city.
Lydia shifted her gaze excitedly to the nearing teammate. Though, instead of greeting the man and his Zubat, she went back to bugging the Marshtomp, running a finger across his back when he wasn't looking or poking his sides and feet.

Caleb and Marshtomp waved to Rei. "It could do with less crowds...the people here are always in such a hurry...the way they run and bump into each other. No time for an apology. A bit rude if you ask me..." Caleb huffed. Marshtomp rolled his eyes. Stop being such a wet blanket and nitpicking at everything Caleb.

Maddy was standing around in the hotel lobby, staring at a few of the old paintings on the wall. They seemed to show a much younger, more farm town version of Castelia City. "I guess even Castelia had to start somewhere..." She muttered to herself.

Michael wandered down the stairs of the hotel to see Maddy standing in front of a picture. "Hey Captain. What you lookin' at?" He would then look at the picture and sigh. It reminded him a little of home, somehow it reminded the boy of Hoenn.
