Rivener laughed. This whole serving people thing was working out great, he was getting more compliments in a day than he normally did in a week. And what's more, at least all the people fawning over him were boys, and not icky girls. "What kind of person I am? Well, I'm a Raevan. Like Lazarus there, and the gold-and-black girl he's falling over himself while talking to. The Lab, for which this event is, makes us. We're all very unique." He puffed up proudly, floating a smidge higher, almost looking down his nose before he caught himself and came back to normal. He was turning into Roux.
"I'm made from Night Sky and Scorpion. Each of us is made of two things like that. It's really pretty cool..." Rivener was just now realizing this. He looked around at the other Raevans he could see. "I should... I should collect information on who is made from what! Then I could meet all the others, and know things about them." His smile turned a little more selfish. "I could maybe figure out what they are like, just from the things they're made of..."
Oh, seems he'd forgotten his customer for a minute. He turned his eyes back to Lucado. "So you write novels? Any published that I might know?" Although Riv didn't fancy reading, he might take it up when there started to be too many re-runs on TV.
Aphismet smiled at the lady and shook the hand. "Ebony, pleased to meet you! Hahaha, I'm afraid we don't allow store-bought treats, no. As for a stocked kitchen, I'm afraid not. It would have been nice but there were no electric outlets here for the appliances don't you know." He grinned. "You're still welcome to stick around and see what other people come up with! There might be some leftovers to taste once we judges are done. Although, considering what I've heard about Dr Kyoupiruchi's sweet tooth, there might not..." He laughed and looked around nervously, hoping the doctor hadn't heard.

"Good luck!" Lillian piped inside the petting zoo fence as soon as she saw the young woman at her booth. Currently she was feeding the anxious little critters lunch, having bet that their little bellies were grumbling for food. Already some of the winners had been announced, but no one had shown up to claim their new pets. The young miss didn't mind though, since the prize winners were thinking logically to pick up the creations last. Who knew what the animals would do if they were let out without any knowledge of the outside world. As she imagined the chaos that could unfold, Lillian was glad for the wired fence that kept them safe and secluded.
After the cook off judge awoke from his short slumber, beside Aphismet was well....no little kid. It was easy to see that Tyson had left the young man after he had fallen asleep. Yet the munchkin was kind enough to leave a little note made out in scribbled letters made out in pen that read,
"Gone back to Petting Zoo. Come see us later! : )
-Tyson
P.S. Thanks for the sandwiches!"

EJ just kept looking at the menu. He then decided to order something. He didn't know what to do. This Rivener character that controlled the booth was just, half of a person. He didn't want to stare, even after Rivener was talking to him, he just ignored it.
He brought as good a smile as he could get to his face and said, "Can I get a...a lemonade p-please." He gulped and placed some money on the counter. The exact amount, so that he wouldn't need change.
He then waited for his drink and he pleaded that it wouldn't be long before he could get out of there. He just wanted to leave before anything big came of this situation.

Namini nodded enthusiastically and grabbed her bag quickly, bolting from behind the booth. Once on the other side of it though, she turned back at Isi with a teary-eyed yet ecstatic expression. She passionately waved back at him and called back, "Thank you so much for letting me hang out with you Isi! Have a great day~!" She ran off a few feet but then paused and turned around once again. Using her hands to amplify her voice, she hoped she yelled loud enough so that Isi could hear her over the crowd and its bustling.
"And don't forget what I said. You will take over the world someday!" Her playfulness rang out in her voice as she flashed the boy one last brilliant grin and continued her jog towards the dating booth.

As the girl jogged away, Isi found himself shaking his head back and forth and chuckling. Some things and some people could never change. He silently bet that she would remain as cheery as she was today until the day she passed. He leaned back in his chair and stretched himself out. The seat of his pants and the seat of his chair felt like two sides of the same magnet...It hurt and he wanted to get up. But he knew better than that.
"Take over the world..." Isi muttered with a disbelieving laugh. He looked over his shoulder once and checked on Eiry. The raevan was still passed out on the grass, sprawled out as much as a 1/3 of a body could sprawl out. Isi chuckled again and lamented, "Lazy wisp boy."

Rivener turned to the new customer. Another boy this time, good... Although he seemed about as jumpy as a murderer at a policeman's convention. Riv raised an eyebrow.
"Lemondade, hunh? Sure thing."
He ducked behind the counter as always, and brought back a glass of ice and filled it with the pink, tart liquid. He nudged the drink forward and took the money, noting that indeed there was no change needed. He flashed the nervous guy a smoldering smile, and waited for whatever reaction the guy would have. Would he bolt like he seemed about to do?

EJ gulped and looked at the new being very cautiously. EJ knew that this guy looked tough, so anything that made him mad may cause some harm to come to EJ. When the being said that, EJ just brought the best smile he could conjure to his face and nodded. He was scared, but not as scared as before. He just took some deep breaths as Rivener went behind the counter. When he returned EJ felt much better, still scared, but better.
He seemed nice, and then EJ noticed something about him, there was a glowing something or another inside of him. It was red and now EJ was not scared, but fascinated. "What is that? That, glowing thing inside you?" he said pointing to his own ribcage area. He couldn't stop staring at this amazing glowing rune inside of Rivener. He stood with his lemonade and took a few sips of it, getting out of the other peoples way and moving to the side waiting for a reply.

"A raevan, huh...?" Lucado watched Rivener as he moved, smiling at the strange grace and the soft glow that was the strange rune. "Perhaps you should collect that information. It might prove interesting... I'd love to meet the others, too, but I'm not so very good at meeting people." A narrow little shrug raised Lucado's shoulders as he looked over at Lazarus and then at the other, storing away the information for later perusal. "I can see why you'd be made from a scorpion..." His eyes grazed over a rather pointy wing.
"And yes, you might know of a couple of my novels... they were fairly popular when they were published. I've been in a bit of a rut the past couple of weeks, though..." Thinking, he bit his lip and rattled off a couple of his titles, once Riv returned. Even though that hot little smile wasn't directed at him, Lucado felt no real envy.

Ebony laughed again. This one seemed a bit energetic and talkative, yet she couldn’t figure whether it was from him being nervous or whether it was from his little cat nap, either way it was sort of cute and endearing to see. Leaning against the booth’s counter slightly, “I guess I could stick around for a bit. Keep you company and all. You seem somewhat bored what with taking a nap and waiting for this…” She took a short moment to make sure she was getting the name right, “Kyoupiruchi person. You talk like they’re very important. Are they?”

Aphismet smiled. "Thank you! It does get a little tedious to tend this booth all by myself. As for Dr Kyoupiruchi, he IS important. He is the leader of the Lab! He is the one who discovered how to make the Raevans, and he creates each one personally." Aphismet nodded as he spoke about the Doctor, as the man was practically a superstar in Aph's view.
Rivener had momentarily turned his attention back to Lucado as he listed the books, and he raised his eyebrows as he noticed one title he'd seen Aphismet read. "I know that one book," he said, quoting the title. "Aphismet, my guardian, he owns it."
He then turned his attention back to the other boy, whose attitude had already changed quite dramatically from fearful and nervous, to curious and fascinated. Riv smirked and looked down at his torso.
"Oh that? That's my Rune. I don't really know how it works, but it's part of me. Like a heart or something maybe?" He shrugged. He'd never really asked anyone about it.

EJ smiled. 'Wow...I'd love to touch it. See if it is able to be touched...' he thought to himself. His curious nature was kicking in. But he decided he shouldn't do such a thing. That may lead to someone getting hurt. He just smiled again and said, "Well, I'll see ya around. Bye. And thanks for the lemonade!" He smiled and kept looking at Rivener until he couldn't see him any longer.
Then he moved on. He found a petting zoo sort of thing. He saw so many exquisite animals he couldn't explain them. There were fox fish there, he really wanted one. And some how, he won one. That was an amazing day in his life. He decided, after winning this fox fish and naming him Renard, he figured he stick around. Maybe find out where these interesting beings live. He looked around some more and found other booths. But he was still most interested in that creature he saw earlier. He just floated there. EJ was most curious about him. He then saw others manning other booths. He decided to go back to the refreshments booth and ask for another glass of lemonade. Yet, that never got out. Instead he decided to go straight to the point and ask other random questions about him.
EJ kind of cut through some other people and went to the side where he stood before talking to him. "Hey again. Umm...this may sound somewhat weird...but uhh, well, do you have a name? If so, what is it? And what is your 'race'? Like, what are you guys as a group called. I've seen others like you roaming about and I was wondering. You guys are very intricate. I would like to learn more about you." He smiled as he said those words. He, being a normal sixteen year old boy was curious about these things. He was very wordy at times and sometimes didn't know what to say at all. He was just happy that they were a nicer people that he could maybe learn more about.

Thinking for a moment, Ashlynn settled the hand with the clipboard on her hip, gently nibbling at the end of her pen. The one that didn't have the ink on it, of course... Didn't want blue lips.
"Cherry." She said finally, her yellow eyes studying the male carefully. Hmm... he was more... put-together than the others. How odd... must be part of their growth, to start out as arms and heads and grow the rest over time. And, of course, that brought up all sorts of questions. How was it they floated like that? Did they have the same organs and tissues as a human? She frowned as she pushed down the questions, forcing a pleasant smile on her face. She turned that beaming expresson on the female beside her as she waited for her ice.
"Lovely day, isn't it?" Yeah, that was a little lame... but it hardly mattered. She wasn't here to make small talk.

“Ah, I see.” So if she stuck around long enough she’d be able to meet the creator of these unique beings that they called Raevans. Now that was definitely something to see. Ebony slipped herself upon the counter gracefully, yet apparently still having not grasped the fact that counters really weren’t for sitting, or maybe she just didn’t care. Hopefully, Aphismet wouldn’t mind as she was off to the side, opposite of him to continue speaking face to face while not getting in the way of any other visitors. “So then. You have one of these Raevans, yes? How did you ever manage that? I mean…I would imagine that a Raevan would be pretty expensive.”

Gradually losing speed, Namini felt her knees quiver slightly before forcing her to double over and grip them as a support and a restraint. Breathing shakily she pouted, "I'm going to be late because of my carelessness.." Out of the corner of a sapphire eye, she caught sight of a small crowd of feet and, glancing further upwards, Namini saw a huddle of people near a booth with the sign, Cooking Booth, overhead. Her eyes widdened somewhat as she regained her posture and wandered cautiously towards the booth. Her eyes soon fell on the entry table where a dark haired man, seemingly a judge, was chatting with a fairly attractive woman with hair painted violet.
Suddenly shuffling through her bag, Namini let out a heavy sigh of relief when she discovered that none of her ingredients had been damaged much. Flickering her eyes back over to the entry table, Namini quickly reconsidered her entering..but unknowingly found herself carefully approaching the table, politely avoiding contact with any part of Ebony's arm as she leaned over the sign-up sheet, her hand trembling a little as she signed her name: Namini Nao. I'm late for the dating booth anyways..A few more minutes shouldn't matter..
Smiling at her signature, she flashed her smile towards Aphismet and Ebony before heading to one of the prep stations, where she carefully began laying her ingredients onto the countertop, sliding a few tubawears and mixers and such from her bag.
