Archeress sensed it's desire for death. She turned towards the sword and caught it with both hands, ignoring the flames. "The more blood I lose...the more powerful I become." She pulled the sword out of the spirits hands. "Rest in peace." And with that she swung the blade with all her might and beheaded the spirit.

The creature stood still for a moment, as though it didn't notice or care that its head was missing. Then, flames engulfed the spirit and it burnt away. The blade exploded into hundreds of shards of the dark matter. Senstren almost glared at the spot where the spirit had fell. He only sensed its desire to die a few seconds before it did so. That meant it had found a way around his binding. He would have to hunt the spirit down and torture it for that betrayal. Senstren walked out onto the arena and extended his hand. "Good match."

"Yes it was...you are indeed a formidable opponent..." she shook his hand with her uninjured one. Her eyes returned to normal and then she realized the pain she was in. "I hate the aftereffects of that little display of power you just witnessed...not realizing pain until afterwards..."
