With her response, Akurei’s black eyes for 2nd time in his life…it softened. He closed them and replied “Destiny takes it’s own course, young Kitsune. But we do have the power to change the inevitable. We make our own futures even if we may never change the past” the dark bit beast quietly spoke.
He noticed his mistress lashed at the young auburn-haired girl and smirked. She is getting rougher now.
"Yeah..." Kei said, thoughtful. "Thank goodness for that, huh? Being able to decide our futures and stuff..." It couldn't be denied, though, that one's past had a hand in shaping one's present - personality, for instance, which was very evident with both Kai and Diana.
"What I'd like to know, though, is..." she paused, unsure of how to phrase her query. "I know of bitbeasts being trapped in rocks and somehow being freed and sealed into either bitchips - or into different objects. Do you think... that's what happened to-" the brunette cut herself off; it would sound stupid, she thought, because for the longest time, she'd behaved as any human would. It was only fairly recently that she discovered her true nature - that of, to quote herself 'a bitbeast trapped in a human body' - so now she was confused.
Just what exactly was she?

Diana’s eyes soften then bit back the question to ask who. She already knew since she took a peek at her memories. She noticed the twins going away and decided to go back later. They need some time alone. She then looked at Houka.
“Well…I guess I shouldn’t call you by your real name. So I guess it’s Kurozuki rather than Sonoda now huh? And by the way, if you need some place to crash in the night then you can stay with me. I am staying next door by the twins. Miki is staying with Hiwatari since he is protective of her now. Some crazy new bodyguard of hers had a huge crush on Hiwatari and kidnapped Miki last night to battle him.”
Diana still didn’t forgive Maria for what she had done to Miki. She knew she liked Kai but to go just to kidnap and be envious of his sister? Geez…
"...yeah, I prefer Kurozuki; I've been living with that name for 8 years now. I got used to it." She stopped leaning on the platform again and stretched. "A real fan, huh?" she commented, laughter in her voice. "Resorting to kidnap to catch the attention of a blader - gimme a break..."
She relaxed her stance slightly, left hand on her hip, a few inches away from the bag that held her blade and launcher. "Funny you should offer to let me crash at your place; I was just about to ask if you knew any good apartments for rent. Didn't want to make Mr. D putting me up somewhere, if you know what I mean. I guess what I'm saying is..." The auburn-haired teen paused a bit; she didn't say this very often, and wasn't used to it. Then she went on. "Thank you. I'd like that."
The truth was, even though she was glad that the BBA chairman didn't expect her to pay him back for her housing all those years, she was getting a bit tired of living alone.

Miki held her arm and went to walk by her brother’s side. “So…I take it that I still owe you an explanation about Medaea when we reach at the apartment right Oniichan?”
Kai glanced at his twin out of the corner of his eye. Maybe he'd take a closer look at that bruise once they reached the apartment. Or better yet, take her to a clinic to have it examined. "You do. But I'm not forcing you to tell me anything; remember that."
They were at the door now, so he held it open, waiting for Miki to step into the corridor before he shut it behind them.

Miki smiled and held her arm where the bruise was visible. She then called out to Diana and said “Diana, can you transport both my and Oniichan back please?”
Diana gave a nod and held out her hand, now being clasped with the same black aura and it surrounded the twins. She stopped producing the aura and snapped her fingers. With a flash, they were both gone.

Miki and Kai were now back at the apartment. Miki shivered slightly and held her arm tighter “Diana’s transport can be chilly.” She looked back at her brother and asked “In case you don’t know Oniichan, me and Diana each have 5 abilities. Telekinetic abilities is her 3rd ability.”
"So I see..." was Kai's reply, shivering inwardly. That brief period of being encased in darkness sparked memories of his earlier match with his sister's friend, and he didn't like it one bit.
After heading into the kitchen for water, he came back out holding two glasses and handed one to Miki before settling on the couch, putting his glass on the small table in front of him. "All right, Miki, let's see that arm..."

Diana then turned to Houka and said “So…you wanna go or you wanna try and train for a bit. I don’t mind either one.”
Houka grinned, sea green eyes flashing. "I'll go with training; its still quite early to head 'home', don't you think?"
Besides that, the auburn-haired blader wanted to try out the various training machines she saw in the room. She'd trained in similar facilities, yes, but there was never any harm in wanting to try new things, was there?

Akurei blinked and smirked. “No…Medaea was made from the blood of a human and the blood of an animal. She was formed out of the mixture of the blood by machine and power by Tou’s mistress. If that is what you are asking”
At this, Kei's eyes widened again. "Medaea... was created from blood?" A surprising piece of information, that one. This was the first time she'd heard of such a thing. "Woah..."
She glanced up, the black aura attracting her attention. she noticed that it had engulfed the Hiwatari twins, and then when it disappeared, they did to. She didn't ask what it was, though; she knew it had been Diana's work - darkness was her 'element', as she'd seen earlier - but the brunette could only guess what she'd done with Kai and Miki. Transported them somewhere, perhaps? Diana wasn't the type to hurt a friend and her brother.

As Maria trained her team mate she caught a glimpse of one of Keiji's old scars all from the battles he had fought. The only time that he wanted all his scars of that event gone was when the wounds were caused by the experiments that his adopted father made him do. There was no honor with those wounds or he might have wanted that to not have their relationship to be tampered though it was only like a small shield there wasn't much.
As soon as she knew how to heal other holy beast he immediately asked for them to be gone except the scar he received on the accident when his whole family died but time was making it fade away.

Miki gently showed her arm to Kai trying not to trigger the pain of the bruise. But her other good arm, which tried to reach for the glass of water, moved her bruise and made her flinched in pain.
Kai noticed this, of course, but said nothing. Instead, he studied the bruise - and Miki's arm in general. He didn't need to touch the slight injury in order to assess it; the discoloration and his sister's general reactions to movements involving said injured arm told him everything.
"You're lucky this isn't broken," the slate-haired teen said at last. "The muscle itself has also been bruised, which is why you can't move it without at least some pain." He leaned against the backrest, more than a little thoughtful. "Maybe you ought to lay off the heavy artillery for a while when blading, hmm?"
Kai wasn't trying to be condescending. He knew firsthand just how injured one could get in the sport, and it wasn't just newcomers to the scene who got injured a lot; usually it was the veterans who got hurt. Enough laying around... he thought as he got up and went for the bedroom, coming out less than a minute later. "In any case, a hot compress should help..."

Diana smirked. “Well, I wanted to ask you to a little battle but you need to rest a bit since I don’t want to do something to you.” It sounded more like an egotistical sneer than a warning.
Houka arched an eyebrow, just vaguely insulted. "Oh? And what's that supposed to mean, eh?" Back again to crossing her arms over her chest, more out of defiance now than anything else.

Akurei smirked slightly at Kei’s reaction and shook his head slightly. “Kitsune, you don’t need to feel surprised about this kind of methods. You should have known by now that if BIOVOLT genetically altered some human boy’s brain, then they are capable of doing this kind of thing as well”.
Again, Kei sighed. "That's true, but..." she trailed off, searching for the 'right' way to voice her thoughts. "It just seems wrong, somehow; man has no right to create something that wasn't even supposed to be created..."
She stood up and stretched the kinks out of her arms; they were feeling a tad stiff. "But then again, who am I to judge them? As much as they don't have the right to create new lifeforms - spirit or corporeal - I don't have the right to play judge to their wrongdoings..."

Miki nodded, blinking hard to compress the tears because of the sharp shot of pain through her arm. “Gomene, I was a bit too careless with my attacks” she sheepishly whispered. Miki admitted to herself that she was too competitive for a practice match. She could have just admitted to be lost. But no…she had to win. Thinking that her brother must have found out, she slightly frowned by her irresponsible and meaningless actions. Kai reassured her it was ok. But she just couldn’t help the fact that she wanted to prove herself to him.
But right now, it caused her brother to be worried for her. She somewhat felt guilty and at the same time, angry. Guilt for making him worry for her. Anger for looking small to him. But she felt safe and at ease. It was like they were still 5, when Kai will always look out for her.
Kai grinned in amusement. "Knowing you were careless in attacking is the first step to improvement; at least you know you were careless, unlike a certain blader I know..." Takao, the perpetual 'lucky' blader. If anything, the steel blue-eyed teen was more reckless than he, Kai, was in battle. Adding his bitbeast's element, wind, to the equation, and you had strong and penetrating, but careless attacks, with little to no defense.
"...I'm curious, though," he said after a time, leaving the warm compress on his twin's arm. "I've heard of BioVolt doing crazy things, but... actually creating a half-human bitbeast?"

Diana brought her hands in defense “Don’t get the wrong idea. I am not bragging that I am stronger than you. Even if it is true” she whispered the last sentence, hoping Houka didn’t hear but continued anyway.
“My power is dangerous. If you don’t want to end up like my victims then ask either Hiwatari or Kei over there. They have both experienced my weak attacks and believe me, the outcome wasn’t very pretty. I often lose control in battle. I…just don’t want you to be hurt…” Diana turned her back at Houka and started to walk to a training machine but then added “Please, this once…follow my advice and don’t fight me. You will just be crushed…”
The auburn-haired teen gave a short, sharp laugh. "'This once'? Murphy, this is probably the first time you've given me advice!" Still, she followed the brunette and chose a random training machine nearby.
"In any case, I'd rather experience something for myself than ask someone. No better teacher than experience, hey?" She took her blade and launcher out again and attached the former to the latter, then went over to what looked like the controls for that particular machine.
"Hey, Murphy!" she called, one hand on the small keypad. "This is where you input commands and such, isn't it?"

Akurei, amazingly again, blinked at the young human girl’s choice of words. Sighing irritably, he never seems to get the ever changing minds of humans. Flipping the torn, black cape that hung from his shoulders, he looked at Diana and Houka, who seems to have already getting into a fight, hence Houka’s slightly insulted expression.
"..." Kei was at a loss for words now. She didn't know if she was boring the dark bitbeast, or irritating him; neither did she want to run the risk of pushing her luck and finding out the hard way that it was either of the two. And Kai was gone, which somewhat meant that the training session was over.
She stretched again. "I'll be going now, I suppose; I still have some errands to take care of."
No, she didn't really have anything else to do; but she didn't feel like sticking around, partly because she felt she was intruding, and partly because she was bored. Besides, there was a drawing she wanted to finish...

Akurei simply nodded and bowed slightly “Then I should be returning to my mistress.” And with that, he faded into darkness and quietly disappeared. A blood red glow appeared in Diana’s pocket and the picture of the same nightmarish ghoul was imprinted once more.
Kei just watched, silent, as this happened, and then she turned and slipped out of the room, leaving the other two girls to themselves. She couldn't keep her match with Miki out of her mind, though; she didn't tell anyone, but she had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the blue-haired girl. And she was worried that if she'd had difficulty with a mere practice match, she wouldn't be able to handle a tournament battle.
Looks like I'd better re-work my strategy, along with some of my techniques...

Miki slightly lowered her head and looked away for a moment. Before continuing, she sighed and took a deep breath and started to explain.
“BioVolt already thought of genetically enhancing bladers in order for them to be strong enough to handle their artificial bit beasts. Where I come in, I was…forced to get the souls of animals and shape them to be bit beasts. So it isn’t really artificial. But…the horrible thing is that...I…I…” Miki clutched her arms, trying to compress her tears but failed as a single stream fell from her cheek “I had to kill them in order to get their souls!”
Miki hiccupped and sobbed, continuing with a shakier voice “It was so horrible…I couldn’t get the image of their terrified expressions when I slit them up. I made the Demolition Boy’s blades so I had to kill the animals of their respective origin. That man didn’t mind if he had to make a species endangered to make an army, as long as I cooperated no one will be hurt. I had to do it…I can’t stand to see other of the trainees get whipped in the torture chamber. “
Continuing, now with more tears coming “Medaea was an even more advanced project. Boris figured that he could try making a bit beast have a bit of the beyblader’s soul so they can be more one with each other and the blader can control the blade more effectively. He used a girl and a snake’s blood in order to form her. But…that girl…was Houka herself.” Her demeanor finally broke down and Miki burst out in fearful sobs. The memories of the pain she endured rushed back to her present state of mind.
During his sister's narrative, Kai went from surprised to indignant...and slightly guilty. Now he wished he hadn't 'asked' for an explanation, yet how was he to know how upset Miki would be? He had noticed that the bond between Houka and her bitbeast seemed to be on the strong side - not that his or Miki's bond with their respective bitbeasts were weaker in comparison - but he'd never guessed that it was because part of Medaea had come from the blader herself.
Instinctively, the slate-haired teen reached out and pulled Miki closer in a hug, careful not to jar her injured arm. He thought it best not to say anything, for what could he say, really?

Diana frowned and quickly went over to her “Since you feel like such a hot shot then try to battle me sometime. You won’t last a minute without experiencing a tenth of my attack. Even Hiwatari almost went insane. What makes you any different?”
“And besides, I am only warning you...” Diana snorted and typed the commands for Houka’s training.
"Thanks," Houka said as the brunette took care of the commands for her training. Then she went back to her original position. "And as for battling you, why not? It'll certainly give me an idea on the extent of your abilities..."

after getting out of the city and away from Boris hiding in the wilderness was the only option next to hiding under his nose. stealing food and drinks from the tourist was the best way to get it with out hunting. but catching fish and smaller critters was always fun. and we got a few sealed bit beasts out of this deal. so that is what happened after i left you pops. how did you know we were here and we havent seen any of Boris's gouns?
they are every where i almost did not get rid of them my self. i think they are all coming in for the tourniment, Sho. they are all coming into the city.
Sho interupted spasticly "what tourniment!?!"
"chicky chicky chicky" Shinja said silently, invisibly stocking one of the coupped chicks.
there is a bey blade turni soon i dont remember the details about it though.
while pondering about joining sho yelled "Shinja no!!! you are not a loud to have a chick! no is no!"
scared half to death pops flung the chicks in the air not knowing what was happening. a second he realized that the chicks are falling back to the ground. he jumped back to his feet in catching each one with out harm to them leaving him in an ocword position. "screaming you roting snake."
kuusho decided that he will join this tourniment and take all the bit beasts to destroy boris and all that oppose him. leaving before pops noticed.

Diana smirked and entered the command. The stadium became a classic dish, equipped with a timer. The time signaled 5 minutes and was paused. Diana casually walked to the other side of the stadium and put her black blade to her blood red launcher. “Come on...don’t have all day.”
Again, Houka arched one eyebrow, amused this time rather than disbelieving. "A little impatient, aren't we?" she said, sliding her dark blue ripcord into her launcher and gripping it firmly. "Well, then, I suppose I'll have to oblige, won't I?"
Yes, she was the one who said she'd rather battle than train, but it wasn't her fault that Diana took it to mean they'd battle then and there. Oh, well.

Miki hugged her brother back with her good arm and steadied herself to make sure she didn’t move the compress on her bruise. Resting her cheek slightly on Kai's shoulder, she gently pushed away and wiped her tears away. “I will be fine. I just need to forget it that’s all. I’m sorry for making you worry”
Taking a deep breath and sniffed slightly, Miki held on to her arm and stared distantly before speaking again “Oniichan, don’t worry about my past in that place. We both can’t help it that we were sent there anyway. So please don’t feel sorry for asking me. You deserved to know anyway.”
"We both can't help what happened to us, that's true," Kai acquiesced. "But personally, you went through worse, being forced to do what you did." The slate-haired teen didn't want to mention it again; the thought was a bit too morbid, even for him.

Maria's stomach rumbled in hunger.
"Well it's lunch time."Maria said feeling her personal signal for lunch.
"Sure"Keiji said not wanting to see again Maria's cranky mood when hungry.
"Where do you want to go?"He asked.
"Well I would recommend the ramen shop I worked in but I've been there yesterday and I wouldn't want to run into Takao or Daichi who eats a lot. Maybe the steak thing at the mall. " Maria answered remembering the annoying lunch she had.
"Isn't that a bit big?" he asked.
"It's at a food court nothing fancy for 3 teen agers as if we can't pay it."Maria answered.
"Yeah no other teens have high paying dangerous jobs."he said sarcastically.

Diana didn’t answer and the countdown on the timer appeared. Before she set it going, she said “See the timer over there? I challenged you to beat me in 5 minutes while I will use only one of my attacks to beat you. And I am not joking when I said one attack. I warned you to not test my attack’s horror and power...” She gripped her ripcord and smirked “Let see if the trainee beats the trainer…”And she pulled her ripcord, letting lose her black blade to the dish.
Well, well, well... "Once a trainer, always a trainer, eh?" Houka commented. "And I have to beat you in 5 minutes? Challenge accepted!"
With that, the auburn-haired blader yanked her ripcord. She knew that Diana had seen her earlier launch, and so modified the one she used now, so hopefully the brunette wouldn't know exactly what to expect; she wouldn't attack, not yet at least.
Let's see what ol' D has in store...

Miki just nodded and gave a weak smile “I know I have been through worse. Diana told me that it’s kinda unfair since a lot of people got better than what I have gone through. But please, Oniichan…Don’t worry for me.” She put her hand on his top of his own and gave a reassuring smile “I am fine right now. All I need to do is forget it and focus on the present right now. We both got teams to be practicing on. Besides, I want to be on my best since this is my 1st tournament to enter before.”
Giggling softly, she continued “I admit, I am slightly nervous right now. Diana just told me I will be the captain for the team. I never have been in charge of anything before. You have captained a team once Oniichan - the Bladebreakers when you went to Moscow. At least you have experience in leadership; I don’t have any clue on what to do.” Sighing negatively and sat back on the couch, muttering a soft “I can’t do such a big thing”. Diana already was talented in making beyblades because she followed Boris everywhere (well, except when he has to do things with hygiene).
She also had a peek in one of the many Abbey Laboratories where they make the modified beyblades. Houka probably was given a bit of study since Boris was her guardian (ex-guardian rather). Miki spent all her time either inside her room or in the laboratory creating artificial bit beasts. Whenever she wanted to go outside, she was always guarded with around 5 bodyguards so she won’t try anything to escape. Only her grandfather will be that careful not to lose her…since she has the power they needed to have.
Kai sighed, leaning back once more against the couch. "You're right about focusing on the here and now, and its all right to say that you're nervous... As for not being able to handle leadership..." The crimson-eyed teen shook his head. "Never say 'never'; besides, this isn't something that I can teach you. I'm afraid you're on your own on this one..."
He glanced at his twin out of the corner of his eye. "Besides, Murphy wouldn't have told you to take the captaincy if she didn't think you could do it."

Miki smiled and pressed the compress harder on her arm. It was starting to feel rather comfortable. Since it was healing fast, but still it wasn’t that fully healed yet. And it still hurt a little.
“I will be fine Oniichan. I will just do what’s best for the team. I think that’s what a captain should do mostly. “ Miki leaned more to the couch, trying to make herself comfortable and scooting closer to her older twin.
“Tell me Big brother…when can I meet your former teammates? I assume no one has known me before.”
"...I don't know, Miki..." Kai replied after a brief silence. "Their training schedule is pretty eratic. If you want to meet them, your best bet would be at the tournament, since they're not likely to miss that."

Diana smirked and started to make her move. The same black essence coming from her black blade crowded the stadium and it formed a pitch black dome. Smirking even more, she called to Houka “Hope you like to play a game of Hide and Seek.”
Houka smirked back. "Doudemo ii ga... it's your call, Murphy..." The midnight black dome worried her a bit, because she knew it would hamper her view of the stadium. Hamper, heck! she thought, eyeing the dish; 'Blinding' is more like it...
Still, she had to give this a shot. She liked challenges, and playing with a giant dish cover was the least boring one she could have done. So why not? /"Hey, Medaea, you ready to do this?"/
/"Of course, child; when have I not been ready?"/ This much was true; it was rare that Houka or Medaea would be caught unawares when it came to blading. Not to mention their rather close bond; at times, it was like they'd read each other's minds at exactly the same time.
Not that any of the two were complaining, mind...
/"Heh. I thought so..."/ The auburn-haired teen glanced at the stadium, which was still covered in that pitch black...something. She'd have to use sound to estimate where the blades were - an added challenge she welcomed.
Bring it on, Murphy...

"Tadaimasu," Kei called, closing the door behind her with a soft click!.
"Okaerinasai," her mother called from the kitchen. Apparently, she was busy with something, because she'd usually come out from there to greet Kei whenever she got home. The brunette decided not to disturb her and go directly to her room, which was what she did.
After locking her door and drawing the drapes so as to let a little more natural light in - she found sunlight preferable to flourescent lights - Kei went past her desk towards her bookshelf and took down her Beyblade case, where she kept all her spare parts. Then she went to her bed and emptied the case, making sure the parts were still fairly organized. From what she'd seen and experienced earlier during 'training', she'd have to update her blade a bit in order to keep up with her peers.
Hmm... She thought, surveying the parts laid out in front of her. Kai said I needed to work on my defense... in order to help that bit along...

Diana’s eyes turn to see a recognizing shade of purple. ”Found you…” But Diana held back to attack because she said so herself that she will only use one attack. But it doesn’t mean she can’t use her defense.
The dome now formed visible shadow like hands and the same stomach-churning wails, moans and sighs erupted. Mainly, her Barrier of Shadows just acts like a decoy attack even when it is actually a defense.
“Now Kurozuki, try to fight the darkness while you can...” Diana thought as the shadowed hands were not dripping with blood which were splattering droplets on the purple blade, making it even more sluggish. The blood was like Miki’s own absorbing ice. Only, the difference was making the blade weaker and weaker with each drop.
She then called out to Houka “Hey Kurozuki, you wanna beat me? Then stop making your sorry excuse of a reptile bit beast chat and sit and find my blade.” Then her eyes returned back to their menacing black demonic color, filled with a malicious glint “That is…if my blood doesn’t cover your blade.”
"Oh, don't get so worked up, Murphy; we're not just chatting, y'know..." Only Medaea could tell her what was going on beneath the shadows, hence the conversation. And she did say blood, and blood is a liquid, which can more or less be blown away...
/"All right, Medaea, so I have a good idea where you are, and to hopefully get rid of that blood covering you..."/
"Divine Storm, go!"
As had happened during her match with the younger of the Hiwatari twins, there was a whirring sound, and then Houka's blade shot up out of the darkness, riding the currents of a whirlwind. Scanning the dish, then glancing up at her blade, the sea green-eyed teen estimated that it had been spinning somewhere near - or exactly at - the center of the dish... which meant that Diana's blade was either near that, or further towards the edge.
Dammit... she thought, scanning the dish again while making sure her blade didn't go too high so as to land still within the stadium area once it came down. Medaea's out... so why don't I hear anything from Murphy's blade?

Miki sighed and replied “I guess I have to wait until I met your former enemies. I was always so locked up and never came out. Never got the chance to meet anyone…but I did meet Yuriy-kun once but that was only a moment. I had bodyguards covering me, so I guess he didn’t see me.”
Miki gave a sad sigh. Yuriy just had to NOT see her. Curse her luck on love. Although he probably doesn’t know her at all. But she had to keep her feelings aside since the tournament, he will be her older brother’s teammate. Chances are…Ice will clash with Ice.
Kai's left eye twitched. He hadn't noticed it before, but... Did Miki call Ivanov...'Yuriy-kun'?! Diana had told him about his twin's crush, but this was ridiculous - although he wouldn't say that to Miki.
"Not enemies, just...opponents," he said quietly, getting up from the couch. He didn't like sitting still for long periods of time - standing was fine, but sitting down made him feel bored and restless. That, and the fact that Miki kept mentioning her life in the Abbey, but also told him not to worry about her. Admittedly, what she experienced was worse than his, and he was sure she really didn't want him to worry about her or pity her... but what she was doing... well, he couldn't really help it, worrying about her and all.

Miki blinked the twitch she caught at the split second when she said Yuriy. Apparently, Kai was just like the normal big brothers. Overprotective. Miki blushed softly and gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
“Gomene Oniichan, I don’t think you like how I talk about a certain someone. But I don’t seriously like him in that kind of way. Love is too much of a strong word. It’s only an admiration of course. He did risk himself when he tried to stop BEGA.”
Miki gave an inward sigh and waited for Kai. Sometimes he was unpredictable when it came to these kinds of things. One time when they were still little, a group of bullies picked on her since they think she was cute and one even tried to lift her skirt and Kai gave them all a shiner. Never face the wrath of an angry Kai.
Kai sighed, leaning forward on the back of the couch this time - he was standing behind it, so essentially he was behind Miki now. "Well... you have a point. Regarding BEGA, at least..." he commented. He didn't know what else to say, really.

Diana smirked “Is that all you got? I expected more of a challenge”. Looking at the timer it read 3:23
Satisfied, she turned to her opponent. “Come on..Attack…I can only defend after all. I promised to beat you with one attack and one only. So Attack me” Diana’s eyes glowed darker making the black color even more menacing. She had in mind a certain attack she inflicted once.
"Someone's restless today..." Houka returned. Finally, she decided to trust her bitbeast to find her mark.
"Since you told me to attack... Medaea, combo attack with Cyclone and Zephyr's Blade!" That same instant, the purple blade turned at a sharp angle and began its rapid descent. This time, though, instead of knifelike protrusions forming around her blade, they formed also in and around the perimeter of the cyclone; this was an effect of combining the two attacks, which was why the auburn-haired teen had chosen to use them. If her blade didn't hit Diana's, then the protrusions would take care of that part. At least, they would in theory. Houka hadn't used that particular combination attack yet, until now, that is.
Today must be a day of firsts, then...

Miki smiled and gave a nervous look “So...You won’t try to glare at Yuriy-kun for no reason and threaten him to give him a new eye color like what you did last time to those bullies?”
The slate-haired teen smirked. "Not without a good enough reason... that is, unless you want me to do that..." He was joking, really - the only time he'd hit Yuriy was if they were training and the only thing he'd hit would be the blade - but Miki didn't need to know that. Besides, she was the only person he felt comfortable with, joking as he had - well, if one could call it joking around.

Diana just laughed. “Take this then, Akurei! Defense! Screams of Hell” The black dome erupted and how thousands of ghouls with skull-like faces screamed. Moans, groans, sighs, cackles and shrieks. The ghouls aimed for the attack and bit off the currents, making it dissolve and the ghouls flew about.
But this time, they dove for the purple blade and an explosion occurred, the ghouls not stopping to back it off.
Houka frowned. Ghouls, shrieks, moans, and all that stuff was nothing to her; if the brunette was aiming to scare her, sorry to say but it wasn't working. It was the laughter that got to her, but in a different way; she was ticked off, that's what. Why, you-!
"It's not over yet!" she said, willing her blade to stay within the stadium. "Medaea, push those pesky things away with Gale Force!" The quintessential defensive technique, hopefully giving her time to think through her options. Well, as much time as the timer would allow.

An announcement was made on all the televisions which opened on all active training rooms.
"We have just received word that the tournament registration will end tomorrow 5 o'clock in the after noon. So those who haven't registered yet hurry up for the awaited beyblade tournament." the announcer said.
This was repeated multiple times in every channel.
Maria and her companions saw it on their way to eat.
"Well we're set"Keiji said after the advertisement.
They then ate steaks at the a mall food court.
"With the registration ending means the tournaments beginning and that means serious training."Keiji said starting a conversation.
"Yeah Wonder who else will be our opponent."Maria replied.
"For sure Kai Hiwatari will be there excited."
Maria blushed but hid it by turning to another direction saying, "Of course and he will be our most toughest enemy."
"Also there's Takao. Hey have you spoken with Hiwatari yet Come on confess already?"
Maria refused to look at them and said, "Baka who would answer yes back to a person you barely met." She already did say so though as silent as a whisper. It didn't go well with her kidnapping his sister and acting like a total fan girl.
