Has anyone else found that bandlationship gossip is so much more interesting than any other gossip out there? Seriously! Tuesday we had a jazz sax sectional over at my friends house, and while we were there this trumpet player she's liked for a while called her and asked if she wanted to go see a movie with him after we were done with the sectional. The six of us were the ONLY ones who knew. By the next morning as we were all showing up for jazz band, about half the jazz band knew. The only way they could've possibly found out is if some of us saxophones had told other people, and I'll admit I had my part in that. XD It was SO funny.

pft trumpets are much more talky than they let on. I bet he was bragging xp
male flutists are cursed and blessed. Take my flute boy for example: he can give a damn good pedicure (after years of being dragged into the girls room for "sectionals") he's dating another flute (after years of mockery... mostly from us heart ) He's learned always to have tissues and chocolate with him (after kimmi slammed his head on the floor of the bus... repeatedly) and he's STILL called fluteboy (even though he moved to baritone and then mellophone) heart domokun cool

Band-lationships. Yeah. We have more than I can count, but that could be because I don't like gossip much. The most dramatic one, we've had lately was the one last year involving the director's son. Bad memories.
I just came out of one myself *tear*. But, my ex had already quit.
I have seen some band-lationships work out, though. I've also seen some fall pretty hard. Our group is so dramatic, though, I'm not sure that band has all that much to do with how long relationships last.
I do believe, however, that marching band shows the best and worst of people. . . which can be both good and bad.

My bandlationship is half-bandcest. XD We both play tenor, but then I also play flute and he also plays clarinet. So we're, like... half-band siblings. I think that's the only bandcest we have in our band... the other two are a piccolo/percussionist and a oboe/trumpet.

Let's see I've dated 3 out of the 6 trumpets. Our only Tuba player...one of our three mellophone/horn players...one of our 3 rombones and 2 of the7 percussion. All our woodwinds are girls so i couldn't do that...but I seem to like trumpeters even though all of ours are cocky, and stuckup (cough cough Stephen cough cough)

I've never been in a band where half of them weren't dating each other and everybody hadn't kissed at least a fourth of the band at some point in time. I guess that was always more during marching season in high school though. I suppose that people got bored on those long trips in the band bus. And of course that just led to all sorts of gossip and drama.
All that slowed down more during concert season, no more band trips!
