Luc enters the tavern. Though he should be exited to be back in town after dissapearing for a week, he keeps his face shrowded in the darkness from his hooded cloak. He takes a seat at the bar, and asks for the usual. After pouring the powder into the glass of hot water he recived from the barkeep. He then sips his tea in silence.

Puc looks up as the tavernkeep places a mug of juice on the table with a dull thump. She forks over a few coins and he nods, walking back toward the counter. She take a sip gingerly and smiles faintly. Looking around the room, she frowns and shakes her head. Taking out a deck of cards, she begins shuffling them idly.

A rather distraught angelic looking woman comes in setting her large spiky shield and hammer down by the door. She walks up to the bar and orders something to drink. Her teary eyes stare into the distance. She is obviously quite upset about something. She receives her drink and sips at it gingerly, her mind lost in her thoughts.

Bursting through the doors of the tavern, Talos rolls to a stop right in front of the bar. "Thanks for the help gentlemen, and let that be a lesson about tying your horses better." Standing he brushed off his coat and grabbed an empty mug staring at the occupied tables trying to find the best to sit at. "What a bunch of... Hello whats this?" Noticing the angelic figure of beauty run down and in tears he came to only one conclusion and procured the closest seat to said heavenly visage. "My dear, to see you cry plucks out the strings of my heart. Anything in my power that would ease your pain and bring a smile to your face is yours." The very oddest thing about this was he in fact felt bad, something not normal to him. It made his hallow heart shrink one size then grow two more.

The girl glances up form her drink. To look at the man that had addressed him. To her slight surprise she found him to be a dark looking and disfigured character. Not the usual smuk who would try comfort her or get into her pants. She looked at him through her tear stained eyes. "I’m afraid not, unless you could somehow magically bring my boyfriend back to me."

"There are many ways to raise the dead milady, yet none of them bring the person truly back, trust me I know..." filling his glass with a pure vintage wine of an unfamiliar aroma he watched the barkeep pass by and spit in it. "Thank you sir, and a pleasant evening to you as well!" Turning back to the angel he seemed to resonate her sadness, his mind returning to his lost love. "That pain will never fade, its the deepest wound you can ever receive. If you want to tell me of your loss I am a very intent listener. If you'd rather not, understand that I can attest to loving and losing it all..."

"He’s not dead." She interjected quickly almost as if she was trying to convince herself as much as him. "…or at least… I don’t know. He simply disappeared one day. All his belongings were there but he had vanished. No one has heard from him since." The girl goes back to her drink taking a deep swig of the dark brown liquid. She did not know what it was, all she cared was that it had a high alcohol content. She then stared right into the mans eyes. "There is no worse pain then in not knowing what has happened. If he is alive or dead or suffering I do not know. I cannot have any closure. I have been searching for him ever since."

"Sorry for my misinterpretation, I'm obviously causeing you great distress with my presence." Taking a drink of the wine he savored the taste quietly before looking back at the girl. "My thoughts on this predicament are worthless but perhaps someone with a more magical aptitude would know better? For someone to take off there clothes and run naked anywhere seems absurd but I'd rather not say your boyfriend is dead either since of coase there are no remains." Taking another sip of his wine he rubbed his temples slowly. "Two people come to mind that live near here but perhaps only one of them is still around to talk. Try seeking out the closest magical academy or ask around. Anyone with etheriomancy or auramancy will suffice. That might help, If not I'm at a loss as well. If you wish I'll leave, the sight of me ussually isnt a help with such matters."

The girl set down her drink and wiped her eyes a bit. “Thank you, I might take you up on that advice. However, for right now I need to drink. If I don’t wash my troubles down every once in a while they tend to overwhelm me. You need not leave; your presence is in fact keeping the local hopefuls from bothering me. By the way I don’t believe we have introduced ourselves. The name is Veet, Veet Corsica.” The girl seemed to pull herself together a bit. Speaking to someone else about her troubles seemed to lighten her burden. Either that or the alcohol was beginning to have its calming affect.

"I'm humbled that you would enjoy my presence and honor me with your name. Most people call me Talos Kintsei, though I have adopted several nicknames and odd titles over the years. Veet is a rather beutiful and mysterious name. seems to stir up images of ethereal oddities and places unknown to the likes of mortal men. Sorry if my language flits away from such penish tongues. I have after all aquired a fine number of books in my day. I'm sort of a collector, perhaps connoseur as it were." Taking another sip of wine it seemed hard to tell from his apearance whether or not he was intoxicated yet. "From whence have you come on wings so white, to rob us all of the nightmare of night?"

Veet laughed a little at Talos’s comment about her name. She always thought her name was ugly sounding though she never felt motivated enough to try and change it. She didn’t know what to think about the poetry, it just wasn’t her thing. Veet knew she wasn’t by any means a sophisticated woman. The only school she ever attended was the school of hard knocks. She knew she was being flirted with but she didn’t really care, the attention distracting her from her worries. However, she wondered if it was him or the wine speaking. She takes another swig form her drink and smiles back. “I see, it must be nice to be able collect something.”

Perrian walked up to the bartender. "Hello, I would like a diet soda, please." Perrian said and sat down at an empty table by himself.

"Its all a man can live for sometimes..." enigmatically he let that statement end and took another drink of his wine refilling the partially empty glass. "I've never met many angels before you, must understand for me this conversation is a rare treat. I try to keep a steady lifetime between me and those pearly gates. Yet I feel I may have learned more about you then what you have simply said tonight. I have spoiled this company of our with too much wine I'm afraid Perhaps at some point when you wish to pick up the search for your lost love I will join you, As a friend and someone who wishes they could find their loved one still amongst them..." His words now becoming more and more inconsistent he stood rather rigidly bowing to the angel who had captivated him both mind and heart and walked quite simply from the tavern, making sure no one could catch the streak running down his mask.

"I'm...I'm not an angel." Veet responded though she wasn't entirely sure of that herself. She had never met an angel to compare herself too. All she knew was the she wasn't completely human. There was some other blood in her, something that kept making people call her an angel. She was surprised how quick of a change came over this strange man that called himself Talos. It occurred to her she might not have been the only person who drank to escape their problems. It seemed she had reminded Talos about some horrible event in his own past. "Talos..." but it was too late he had already bowed to her and began to walk out of the inn. "...see you around" She turned back around and went back to her drink pondering what had just happened.
