Unless it happens on a mass scale.
I know that more than just Akira was offended by what happened. And I felt that it was stupid that I, a non-mod, had to be the one to ask Reiko to stop after he made far too many posts than he should have.
That's what moderators are there for. To moderate situations like that. And as Sierra said, that could probably have been considered sexual harassment... which, if I'm not mistaken is against Gaia's TOS and therefore, should have been handled by a mod.
I'm sorry if don't always speak up about what offends me, but it's because I've had the fear of GODHAND drilled into me.
That's ok though... from now on, everytime one of the mods does something to offend me or another member does something to offend me, I'm just going to tell them to shut up and then watch as everyone else gangs up on me for daring to speak out against a mod or one of the popular kids.

Are you just in here for comic relief? This is a suggestion box, and your recent posts have been anything but suggestions or responses to suggestions. Oh! Right! I suggest the suggestion box be used for the handling and debating of suggestions, and not merely as an extension of the OOC thread, which is still a perfectly viable place for inane statements.

Alright, then, even though my last post was actually a suggestion, I will make another one. I would like to second the suggestion that there is a guild-wide vote for moderation staff.
It would solve a host of problems, including the current debate about just what role the moderators are supposed to play, since the guildmembers would be voting in the mods they feel will fulfill their perception of a moderator's functions.

All further remarks on this topic will be in essay form. They will include an introduction, and an organized body with main points and supporting evidence, not simply e-feelings and whining.
This thread will remain locked until 12:00 AM PST (Levi Standard Time) while y'all cool your jets and 'GODHAND', as it's apparently called, takes the few actual suggestions posted here under heavy consideration.

Well, what do you think Shouyin can bring to the Mod Community? What can he bring to the guild if being appointed a mod?
The only thing I can remember him doing as of late, was reseting the character bio thread. While that was a good move, I don't see how him being a mod will have a decent effect on the guild.
I'm not saying I don't want him to be a mod, I'm simply asking that someone show me what he can bring to the table if he's appointed one. Because as it stands now, I don't see what good adding another mod will do. Afterall, all he said was "Make me a mod again." He didn't say why, or say how that would be beneficial. So, in my opinion, adding a mod without them being beneficial to the guild as a whole is a bad investment.
Show me how this investment is beneficial to the guild, please.
