::she pulls away just as Rem touches her, eyes widening slightly in something almost like fear. just from that short touch, Remmy would find that Nia's skin is burning, almost like she has a fire:: don't tou :;she snaps her mouth shut, cutting off the habitual snapped response she gave whenever someone touched her when she was ticked:: s...sorry... i... don't like to be touched when... when i'm talking about my family ::scrambling to find a believable excuse. glancing at Remmy's hand, she asks worridly:: you okay?

Remmy nodded. She hadn't felt the heat on Nia's skin. Remmy's body reacted strangely to things, but it wasn't much of a mystery why she hadn't felt it. She had built up callous like things under her skin. She didn't feel pain or really anything from the tips of her fingers. She looked down. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

you didn't.... just... i... i have a major temper and i don't really control it well... :;shrugs:: and my family generally ticks me off on principal... ::assuming that Remmy hadn't touched her long enough to get burned::

Remmy nodded. "Alright." She looked up. "Oh! My house is right over there." she said, pointing out a Japanese style house that seemed to be about three stories high. If they went in Nia would see that it was actually only two stories but that the roof of the first had a very tall ceiling.

She looked at Nia and then back at the house. "Would you like to come in for a cup of tea or something?" She hated the way Nia's family treated her. She didn't even know them, but she knew she didn't want to.

::shrugs:: sure, why not.... ::not looking at Remmy:: they haven't gotten over my mom's death, you know... it's not really their fault... not that i'll ever let them know i think so... eventually they'll move on, or i will... whichever... ::she didn't know why she kept telling this near stranger such personal things...::

Remmy looked up at the sky. "I don't know how long it's been but you never really get over someone, you just learn to honor them in your heart." She shook her head. "Sorry, shouldn't talk about thins I have no clue about." she said, walking up to the door and unlocking it. She walked in and slipped off her shoes and into her slippers. "Come in."

Remmy turned around and smiled. "That's Luna, she's a stray. I sort of picked her up today in front of the tea house." She said, laughing and walking into the kitchen. "Do you mind rose petal tea?"

nn... no, that's fine ::absently as she pets the cat a bit then tentively tries picking her up, cooing gently:: you're a cutie aren't you? ::she'd never be this sweet with another human, but animals were a totally diffrent story::

::allows herself to be picked up. She's found that if she plays along, she learns much more, so she purrs and acts like a normal kitty, mentally cringing on how Remmy's gonna laugh at her when she wakes her up::

Remmy was moving around the kitchen and gently placed two dried out rose petals in delicate cups with little black roses painted on them. She put water on to boil and then waited for it. She looked out and watched Luna who really acted oddly for a stray.
