Tenkyl tosses down his towel and follows her up, his fur once against drenched in almost an instant. His arm quickly goes around her waist as she tries to gain footing, looking over the railing with her at the bodies floating in the water. "Ya, I have no idea. They're bloated, so they've been here for some hours now," he says, speaking a little louder then normal due to the rain and thunder. He looks up at about the same time as she does, seeing the ship, barely noticeable through the WALL of rain and fog. "I... I think so..."

Though Sundrea was no stranger to dead bodies, water-absorbed and floating ones were just disturbing. The sight of them didn't make her feel too well yet her eyes wanted to continue straying to them. "Do you think there was an accident?," she asked him when he came up next to her. The arm around her waist didn't bother her this time since it felt more safe there than not. As for the people and what they thought might be a ship, an accident wouldn't surprise her...but how would have so many gotten into the water while the ship stayed afloat?

The ship loomed closer, carried by the corpse-littered waves. It would be barely visible now through the rain and fog. There were no lights on, no activity on the deck. The ship looked in poor condition, beaten by the elements. Faded lettering near the stern of this ship depicted its name, "Sea Orchid". By all appearances, it was just a derelict cruise ship. But what was it doing all the way out here?

Surveying the damage, Tenkyl checks out the bodies and the ship as closely as he can. "I don't know... but we are near the Dürem Ocean. Some very unexplained things have happened there."

In a poor attempt to wipe the rain off her face and out of her eyes, Sundrea leaned a little over the railing to squint at the ship again. Even with a feline's keen sight, it was still hard to make out. The harsh rain and fog weren't helping. "You'll have to tell me some stories of the ocean later," she said to him. "It looks...sorta old. I mean, like it's been here a while. That or the rain's confusing me."

The ship was closer now and they would be able to make out some more finer details about it, though it was much too high to see anything up on deck. Some of the cabin windows alongside the hull were broken though, with rust formed around the round porthole windows. There was a rope ladder hanging over the side of the ship, looking very inviting.

Tenkyl turns around and grabs a long rope. He ties one end to their railing of their boat and looks up as the rain starts to die down, deep rumbles of thunder still lurking about the air. "Stay here... I'm going to go tie this off..." he says as he hops up and grabs onto the rope ladder. He climbs up, holding onto his rope and reaches the top, slowly looking over about the deck. As he is surveying, he ties the rope to the railing of the large ship and motions for Sun to come up.

Sundrea watched the ship as they got closer. Yes, it had to have been her for a while. With each glance, her curiosity shifted. Feeling Tenkyl leave her side, Sundrea turns and stops, watching him with the rope. A smile came to her lips. An exploration sounded like an interesting idea. After he was ready, Sundrea grabbed onto the rope ladder he had used and climbed her way up, careful with each step on the wet rope. "My first ship exploration. How exciting," she said out loud once up on the ship's deck.

The deck was littered with trash and debris, as if the crew and passengers had all left in a rush. Broken glasses littered the floor, having toppled from tables that had been turned over. There was a pool in the middle of the deck, but the water was black and brackish. Some of the beach chairs sitting around the filthy pool still had towels on them, dirty and soggy from having been left outside for gods know how long. It looked like the typical luxury cruise ship, except there were no people, no music... nothing. Just the silent wind, the dark, and the cold.

Tenkyl cautiously climbs onto the deck and looks around a bit, cocking an eyebrow at the debris and completely empty ship. Something really didn't match up here, but Tenkyl couldn't quite figure out what is it.

Trying to keep thoughts to herself, and not out loud, Sundrea nodded a little as her mind worked, her feet moving her around the immediate area. She kept away from the pool, however, not liking the dark murkiness of it...not the smell. Thinking some sort of accident happened might not be too far off but from what she could see of things, it was like everyone had just vanished. "Mm.." Sundrea moved along the deck, away from Tenkyl, to see what else she could find other that just a creepy still life.

Moving toward the cabins, she would see much of the same - debris and trash strewn everywhere, not a sign of life. All of the windows had been broken, and more than a few of them had dried blood staining the broken shards still attached to the frame. The room inside looked to be a banquet hall, with some of the cloth covered tables flipped over, glass and silverware scattered around the floor. All of a sudden...
A rat scurries across the deck! It headed through an open doorway into the banquet hall.

Tenkyl follows closely behind Sundrea as she wanders out of her own curiosity into the large banquet hall, looking around a little bit. His ears suddenly perk up as he looks over and spots a rat scurrying quickly across the flooring. Tenkyl makes his way further into the room, surveying the damage.

The broken and blooded windows caught her attention, more so than anything else at the moment. She moved over to them to get a closer look, making a mental note of them. Some sort of fight, maybe? Sundrea shrugged, her ears turning towards the light movements of the passing rat. Not that unual to have rats on a ship. The tip of her tail twitched as she watched it. Maybe it could lead her to something. "Only one way to find out," she muttered to herself as she turned and followed the skittering rat.
((o-O Schoolgirl squeals aren't attractive coming from you~ And I do hope you weren't thinking of calling me Beverage from now on.))

The rat scurried along, oblivious to the pair now following it. It only had one thought on its mind, and it was getting to where it needed to go. It hooked a left, going down a hallway leading away from the banquet hall, and into what looked like the First Class deck quarters - similarly trashed like the rest of the ship, with the doors to all the rooms either ajar, hanging off the hinges, or completely missing. There was an abundance of blood splattered across the walls and carpet. The rat scurried into one of these doorless rooms, where it would join the rest of its pack, writhing and wiggling over something laying on the floor.
