shells_of_sand piratesss i studied spanish, so i`m out of the loop. whee heart That's cool. Not many people learn Spanish in Australia. I'm not sure why. I was thinking about taking it up in uni next year, but I think I'm in love with French too much to give it up. Ah, yeah. There are so many Spanish speakers where i`m at that it`s almost competing with english. rofl

Yay for buritos. biggrin
A lot of my friends can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and a couple know Indonesian or Japanese. But I'm hopeless with Asian languages, I just can't wrap my mouth around all the different tonings.

I love French too, but I hated my teacher enough that I didn't take it a fourth year. sad I also want to learn Italian. :]
A lot of people in the US probably study Spanish because of the larger number of Mexican immigrants in the past years. I also heard it's easier because it is so close to the English language.
I like my French though. :]

Have you joined the French guild, Lapin? It's kind of slow, but I like to practise in there sometimes, and they're all pretty friendly about mistakes. ^.^
I learnt German in primary school, but we had a succession of terrible teachers. I didn't even learn/understand about verb endings until I started French in high school. xp 6 years later and all I can remember of German is how to sing the alphabet and count to 100. xd

It's amazing how much French I've forgotten in under a year. I'd be embarassed to say anything in there. XD We used to have german in our school until the teacher left.
