"We enjopyed having you too Day," Mrs. Perone replied as the girl got out of the car. She watched to make sure the girl got inside, and then drove to the football field. "Acione, I don't know how I feel about practice on a Sunday. Call if you need a ride," she said as her son got out of the car.
She drove back to the house where Azalia and Sakura were somewhere. She went into her room, put away her purse, and went to the kitchen. She made herself a glass of chocolate milk, which she had never outgrown, and sat at the counter drinking it. Once it was gone, Lisa went up to where she might find the girls. She knocked on the door of Sakura's room, "Girls, you in there?" she called lightly.

Sakura jumped at Lisa's voice. She ran to the door and opened it. "Hello, Mrs. Perone."

"Hello Sakura," Mrs. Perone said with a smile, "do you guys mind if I come in for a little while, or will I be interupting?" She asked both the girls at once.

Lisa knew that Azalia would be fine with it, if not she would say so and LIsa would leave. She entered the room and sat on the floor agains a wall. "I hope that the house and everything is ok, and that you will like school. What was it like where you olived and went to school at" Mrs. Perone asked Sakura, wanting to know more about the girl they were having stay with them.

"Well, we had school uniforms...and the same teacher for pretty much every subject." Sakura paused, then continued, "When we had lunch, we always ate outside with all of our friends. And we always walked to school. I mean we as in, my siblings and me." Sakura clarified quickly.

"So you must have went to a very small school," Lisa said. "You will find it very different here, I am sure you will pick up on the rhythm of living around here pretty quickly. Always let me know if you are going somewhere and chose your friends wisely," Lisa advised. "Sorry," she said after a moment, "I didn't come in here to lecture you, and listen to me..."

"Oh, no no. It is fine. My mother is very similar." Sakura said, trying to be reassuring. She smiled. "It is...how do you say...natural for parents to think in such ways."

"I'm sure you'll adjust quickly," Azalia said to Sakura. "But it is a pretty big change. We don't have uniforms, and our school's pretty big. We have a different teacher every period, and we ride the bus. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine."

Acoine finished his practice and walked home. He got about half way there when he saw Day's house. He went up to the door not thinking about the fact that Day's parents still didn't know about him. He got to the door and was about to ring the door bell when he heard Day's dad yelling at Day.
"You little *****. Where were you all day long? You know what, don't tell me any ******* thing. I'll find out later. Don't you even try to walk away from me! I'll beat the **** out of you *****!" *SLAP*"Do you really want me to get mad you little *****?" her dad kept yelling at her through the door.
Acoine's raged. Part of him wanted to bust in there and beat her dad up and leave him half , but the other half knew that if he did Day would be in worse shape. He didn't know what to do, but his brian didn't work fast enough to stop him. He threw open the door and yelled while he swang a fist, "DON'T YOU TOUCH HER AGAIN YOU *******!!!" The punch made a connection at the bottom of the chin on the right side. Day's dad was floored. He jumped on him and continued to beat him. He finaly got control of himself and got up. Her dad was bleeding from his nose, lip, and eye. He wasn't getting up any time soon. He went over to Day. And helped her off the floor, "Are you alright Day?" He reached out his hands to hug her. "My place is still safe for you."

Day was speechless as the tears rolled down her face. She had NEVER wanted Acoine to see anything with her dad. Looking at her dad, she was blank. Forget getting about Acoine in fear and agony*SP*, she ran into the kitchen where she knew she would find her mom. Her mom layed in the corner bundled up as a ball.
"MOM, WHY??? HOW CAN YOU JUST SIT HERE!!!!!!!!! HOW THE **** COULD YOU HAVE LET THIS HAPPENED???" She looked into her moms eyes and saw the puffy cheeks and the dark eyes, knowing she had been drinking. Disgusted she looked away, ran into her room. Shut the door *not locked*, and layed on her bed. Day screamed into her pillow, just wishing it would become a plastic bag. She knew that Acoine would be furious with what had happened, but now it couldn't be changed. Her back and arms ached, but then again, in a week or two, bruses will have healed and once again, no one would know....

Lisa nodded in agreement with Azalia to Sakura. She was confident that this bright, beautiful, young girl would do just fine.
Then Lisa said, "Chris, Azalia's father, will be away for a while. Azalia," she said, beginning to adress her daughter, "he will return after a while, we do not know how long he will be gone, your grandmother is in Mexico right now and he has gone to help her and teh family because she is not in good health." Lisa didn't say anything else, she just wanted them to know that Chris wouldn't be around for a little while.

Azalia became a little frightened at her mother's words. "What's wrong with her? Is she alright?" Azalia hoped that it was nothing major, and her mother's calm composure supported her hope.

"She's had a heart attack, and your father's family needs him to translate for them. I'm not sure what her condition is like, but please do not worry yourself over it. Pray to God to take care of them, and everything is in His hands." Lisa said to her daughter, remaining calm in her voice and composure, because Lisa knew that panic fed panic.

Acoine ran to Day's room and opened the door. He closed it behind him. He knew that Day would think him to be furious, but he was saddened by her and angered at her parents. "Day...." he began with a long pause, "You need to pack now. Come live with my family for awhile. I'll call child services when I get home anyway. Please just come with me. I love you Day, and I'd never hurt or harm you. I don't want you to be hurt either." He waited for a response as he bent down on one knee held her and cried with her.
