[Teh Dixie.] Sadly, I didn't bother taking pictures of my hair all prettified from getting it done. And I probably won't have any more pics for a little while. DD: I leave for the University of Tennessee tomorrow afternoon, and then from there is Band Camp and Rush. My computer hasn't come in yet because we were too lazy to order it on time. >____>;
So, damn. Maybe I'll go prettify myself and take some epic shots! O: Seeing as how I'll be technology-ridden for a while. Maybe I'll hijack the library or something.
God, I'm scared out. of. my. mind.
But I promise to take a bajillion pictures these first few weeks. Send me love, or call my cell phone. o__o; Texting works, too, though I hate it. xD

Don't concern yourself too much, though. I asked my mother this morning if, after all the "parties" and shebang, if I absolutely had to join a sorority. She gave me this questioning look as to why I wouldn't want to commit. Frankly, I don't. This is for her sake, and I thought I'd try it. I'll look at how things go these first few days, and if all is hell, then I'm dumping it.
Besides, I've promised a few people, now you included, that I will not be tainted by prissy bitches who demand to know what designer handbag I'm carrying, which I'm not. :D I will not teach them to respect my intelligence, for these are the kinds of girls who will be waiting on me in the future, and I'll pity them for that.
Dammit, I'm a good kid. Going to be studying molecular biology with any luck. Otherwise, personable, individual, yadda. I'm not going to transform into something I'm not. <3
Most likely I won't pledge, which is good. I need to get my bearings straight before I realize what the hell I'm doing.

actually the girls I know who have been in sororities are certainly not the prissy fashion minded drones you'd think of. however the "group mentality" does become infectious.

Finally found an opportunity to use a computer on campus. My laptop comes soon. <33
Oh, and kiss my a**, Pride of the Southland Band. I don't like you, your s**t. So I quit. Yes, the quintessential band nerd has quit marching band. I'll probably feel guilty in about, uh, five minutes, but hey. I'm relieved, happier, and this means I have time for better things, like studying and/or drinking.
