Kilik looked away from Ryka for a moment, taking the hot cocoa and setting it on the table. "Thank you," he said simply. He looked down into the swirling mixture, his eyes having a distant and foggy look to them. His mind was on nothing but his upcoming Gym battle now. He sighed, took a sip and then turned to look at Flareon and Espeon. "You two?" he blinked at them, "You wouldn't mind if...I went first, would you?" he asked, looking at Jaeshan through the corner of his eye.

"Sure, why not?" Jaeshan shrugged, having a sip of his cocoa. The warm chocolately goodness seemed to settle right into him, warming him to the bone. "Show us how it's done, eh?" He then looked to Ryka. "That is, if you don't mind either, of course." He had a sneaking suspicion that Kilik didn't really want him going to the gym with him, but Ryka would be welcome company. "We, that is, I can wait here if you'd prefer that," Jaeshan offered. "If you don't want an audience, I don't mind at all."

"Ooh, yes please," Flannery smiled, holding out her hand. "Thank you," she added, after Kasiya'd poured some into her cupped palm. "Maybe I should have," the girl reasoned, popping one into her mouth. "Hey, these are good," she managed between chews. "So what are you going to do next?" she asked, hoping to keep up the conversation. She found herself liking the girl, she was pleasant company.

"You're welcome," Kasiya grinned, helping herself to more of the candy. "They're my favourite." She ate a few more, looking out the window and thinking of an answer. "I don't really know what to do next," she admitted. "I should head to Fuschia City to challenge Master Koga to a gym battle, but I feel like exploring and catching a few new Pokemon too," she said, thinking about the Absol she'd seen in the gym. It was quick, and hit hard too. She smiled to herself, wondering where she'd be able to find and capture one.

Kilik shook his head and smirked, sipping his cocoa again. "No, I'd be flattered for an audience," he told the boy. There was a crash as Flareon had tried to jump over chair, but didn't jump far enough. Both the chair and Pokemon had fallen over. The Fire-type let out a moan and dashed back after Espeon. Kilik locked his fingers (a chill went down his spine) and stared over them at the wall behind Ryka. I wonder where Michelangelo is... he thought.

At the very least he was warm, the cold air was no match for Nitro's natural heat. His flaming tail flickered in the night, a soft glow the only thing to push back the now pitch black darkness. "There it is." An outside light of the Pokemon Center had just flickered on as they always did this late at night.
Nitro circled around and descended softly, trying to be as quiet as he could. Mike hopped off his Pokemon, "You know, you're getting better at this every time we fly." He smiled as he recalled his Charizard.
Brushing the hair from his eyes, he walked into the Pokemon Center.

"Any Pokemon in mind?" Flannery asked, intrigued by the look Kasiya was giving her. She eyed the bag of candy mischieviously and jumped forward, snatching it. "Aha!" she laughed. "Mine now!" she 'stole' a few more and handed it back to Kasiya, grinning all the while.

"Hey!" Kasiya laughed, as her candy was swiped. She shrugged, thinking it over a bit more. "That Pokemon that Nina's Pokemon were fighting in the gym. Not the Tyranitar, but the other one. I don't know what it's called, but it was powerful and fast, too." She thought back to the Aerial Aces she'd seen it launch, a chill traveling down her spine. "I'm definitely getting one of those." As a second thought, she reached over and pulled her bag closer, digging around until she came up with her PokeDex. She flipped it open, and started searching through its many entries.

Jaeshan only nodded, and continued to sip his cocoa. Another rumble of thunder was heard in the distance, timed only to well as the sliding doors opened, and a familiar looking boy walked inside. Jaeshan sat down in a chair by the wall, wondering how long it would be before the storm hit Vermilion.

Kilik stood up, quickly gulping down the rest of his hot cocoa. He felt his tongue burn slightly. "Michelangelo!" he laughed, approaching him. Flareon had paused its playtime with Espeon. He looked past him at the outside. "Rain's coming down pretty hard," he nodded. Kilik smirked and patted Mike on the shoulder. "So, let's get down to buisness, shall we, Mike?"

"I think I know what you mean," Flannery said, flopping down next to Kasiya and peering over her shoulder as the girl looked through the entries. "It's called Bismol or Babsol or something like that. I think it's a dark type. There it is! Absol!" Flannery cried, pointing at the small screen. "A few trainers have brought them into my gym. They're tenacious, that's for sure. There was one boy who couldn't even control his." She looked at the star-struck glint in Kasiya's eyes, and somehow knew she was going for it. "Hey, if you're going after one of those, I'm coming with you," she said. "You might need back up for something vicious like that."

"Hello Kilik!" he spoke in a cheerful tone, happy to see his friend again. "Alright, let's." Mike was hit by a sudden deja vu, a feeling that occured very often in Pokemon Centers. The trade machine stood lonely in the corner, seldom being used. He unclipped Beacon's Pokeball, a goofy smile snuck up on him. "Let's get this show on the road!" He placed the ball in the red slot, pressing the ready button.
Oh great. I got out of one shell and now I'm in another? What is this?

Kilik walked with him to the corner of the center, pulling the Park Ball out of his pocket. He spun it on the tip of his finger before catching it and placing it on the green slot, his finger hovering over the button. He smirked at the other boy and nodded, pressing down.

The usual beeps and boops were made from the dusty machine, Mike dusting a bit with his sleeve. The icons of Beacon and Kilik's Scyther flashed across the screen as the Pokeballs were dropped out of the opposite tubes. Reaching out to grab the Scyther, the ball erupted, causing Mike to flail and fall on his butt.
A rather spooky looking Scyther was released as it slashed around, obviously not to keen on being kept in confinement. A slightly confused look came over her as the Pokemon shown a beautiful white color. Its scythes split and merged into pincer like appendages, the overall frame of it growing bulkier and heavier. Soon the transformation ceased, a brilliant looking Scizor standing before the two boys.

"Gligar, use Aerial Ace!" You could see the fire in her eyes, the final showdown was at hand. Winona's Gligar thrusted his claws forward, a sharp wave of energy cutting through the air and slicing the Vibrava. The Pokemon hovered there, casting a few mean faces at Dante.
