"I'll have to ask Shadill when we're getting our next shipment of Benden White, it's quite excellent." She gestures off to the side, where a flight of stairs carved into the cliff face goes ... up. "If you're not used to this many stairs," she tells him as they start climbing, "just let me know, we can take a break and I'll point out any interesting sights."

Ray laughs. "Out of shape, eh? Don't worry, we'll get that fixed in a jiffy." She slaps his shoulder playfully, then starts climbing faster, so that she's several steps ahead of him. "Just call out when you need that break."

Ray shrugs, "All right. Take a seat." She passes him the waterskin, then sits on the steps, breathing easily just to show off. "Well, over there is the lake," she points at the lake, where some dragons are swimming. "And over there is the feeding grounds. But you saw those already." She points at the feeding grounds. "Across that way, that's the practice field. The weyrlings use it mostly, though injured dragons sometimes excercise there if they're able to move around."

A casual gesture down indicates the tunnel entrance to the Lower caverns. "That's the lower caverns." She points at another large tunnel entrance. "And that one leads to the Hatching Grounds." A point up to the rim, "And there are the Star Stones. Anything else you want identified?" All told, she takes about a minute to point out the different areas.

Ray shrugs. "Not really. It's when you get inside the tunnels that things start to get confusing."

Drakiana looked around, Rumor perched on her shoulder. She was new to Benden, and was currently looking for the Kitchens, since Rumor was hungry. The Brown flitt churped, eyes whirling with the slightest tinges of red. But Drakiana had taught him manners, and he wouldn't start creeling like she had heard many flitts do before. The young artist looked around, studying the activity around her. She then noticed the wonderful smells wafting through the air and noticed that she was hungry as well. Smiling, she let her nose guide her. When she saw the food laid out, she quickly grabbed a plate of meat rolls and a mug of klah. She found a relatively empty table and fed Rumor before he had a fit. When he was sated, he curled up around her neck, drapping himself across her shoulders. Drakiana fed herself on the remaining rolls and drank her klah slowly, savoring each sip.

Treyla's small stomach couldn't handle all the food that she had placed on her plate. She sat back with more than half her plate gone and gently placed her ahnd on her stomach while sipping the chilled juice. At that moment Ath woke up from his nape and wondering where Treyla was poped suddenly at her side, saw the unfinished plate of food and with one look at his owner he piledived onto the food and ate to his hearts content. Some could call it gluteny but he would call it a really full belly!

Having finished putting his things away, Terlan finally gave in to the complaints of his empty stomach. Leaving the barracks, he headed for the lower caverns.

Just as he entered, he saw a fire lizard dive on a plate of food. Grinning at the creature's antics, he walked over to the table. "Hi, may I join you?" he asked the girl sitting there.

Drakiana blinked in surprise at the wink. Curious, she stood up and walked over. She would interpret it as an invitation to come over, and if it wasn't, oh well. She wanted someone to talk to. She grinned as she neared them. "Hello." she said.

"I'm Drakiana. I'm new here. How 'bout you two?" she asked, looking from the girl to the boy who was standing as well. Rumor cheeped at her sleepily, making her smile widen. "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. This Brown flitt is caled Rumor." she added.
