Avalus was still a little tired and groggy watching as shadow gave katrea back his money bag.
"Thanks for the drinks mate"
Avalus winked at Katrea before walking beside him.
"If you are heading to asureia your going the wrong way the dock is that way."
Avalus then pouinted in the opposit way to the sea.
"Back towards the castle near soldiers barracks."

Katrea looked at Avalus and shook his head. he followed the crazy knight but thought he would take a moment as they walked to say
"errrrr, you do know the sea is back there..... Just thought I would say"
Katrea then sighed as he had a deep expression on his face. Did he really want to learn from this free minded knight or was this going to be a waste of time. Katrea looked back at the shadow guy; he wasn't as foolish as he was letting on. Katrea alway kept his pouch tide to his belt and in his pocket. for some one to steal it with easy and Katrea to not relies for so long and this look in his eye reminded him of that guy.

"You better not be taking me for a fool I know full well which way the sea is but we are going by air."
Avalus continued walking down the street before they came to a small outpost within the city as they entered several large winged forms could be seen.
"These here are the Imperial Eagles bread for the use of her majesty and her knights we will use these to get to asureia as you obviously want to get there as soon as possible by your eagreness."

Katrea looked on in horror at the wings flailing around then he looked away gritting his teeth.
"I hope that you’re not taking me to ride dragons."
Katrea gripped two fists tightly and was just thinking in his head. Anything but dragons, griffins, even dam beholders just not dragons. He was not going to be dropped to the level of riding evil creatures that would sooner bite off your face then fly away.

"No Only the temple knights get to ride the light dragons created by Bahamut for Alexander In the ages past. They are a rare sight indeed and will only interfere in current affairs in severe circumstance. We have the griffons here"
Avalus looked over to the mounting platform wondering why this individual hated dragons so much then he thought apparently there was a dragon outbreak and an individual taken into custody but the name was forgotten perhaps that was also this man.
"Hey there this may seem like a stupid question but do you have a brokjen sword?"

"What a sword….. errr I don't know could I see it?"
Katrea said this quickly to move away from the dragons, for every second he focused himself not to draw is sword on them. He didn't want to be chucked from the knight after all he went through. As Katrea walked through the windy hall they where in, some sweat drip from his forehead just looking at the beasts. He put his hand on Avalus’s shoulder pushing him a little.
"Why don't you show me this sword?"
Katrea didn't really care but still he sounded like he did just to make Avalus hurry away from the scaly monsters.

"You seem like you are afraid of these majestic eagles But why and also wheres shadow waasnt he behind you?"
Avalus looked to Katrea he wasnt sure if he should show him the sword edge as he didnt seem to have the other piece and this artifact was precious to the queen. Then again this man also seemed to be important to her
"Hey It couldnt hurt but no touching okay."
Upon turning the corner they entered a largish hallway and at the centre was a displayand within along with 2 other swords was the curved looking end of a sword seemingly shattered sat in a display. Above the display was the sign the sword of heroes.

Katrea was looking back as he walked into the room and to asked.
"I don't know, where is that pickpocket shadow is?"
Then as Katrea stepped closer to the sword display he turned and looked at the shattered sword end. it had a black rose on it and made a strange scythe like shape on the tip. Katrea looked at it not really knowing what to feel. Then a tear fell from his face hitting his hand. He looked at the droplet and didn't know where it came from. Suddenly he fell to his knees.
"Its my sword, It’s my mother’s sword. I had forgotten all the time I had spent with her.”
All the memoirs of her came flooding back, all the sad, happy times and when he had to leave. He only remembered the clinic he was taken into as a child before, but now he remembered how he got out. And all the love he had got from his mother. The memories came to a stop, he now remembered up to leaving his home when his mother died.
He knelt there for sometime and looked at the sword.
“Avalus, I want my mothers sword back”

Avalus was both shocked and intrigued. This man had suddenly seemingly broken down before him it was clear he had great feelings for this shard of metal.
"Although seeing you I would like to I cannot do that for until relinquished to you by her majesty it is property of the queen if you want it you must speak to her."
Avalus felt bad saying this but there really wasnt anything he could do about it.

katrea got to his feet and realised that what he was asking could not be done so simply he cleaned his face before turning to look at Avalus.
"your right i asked her once my training is done with for now i feel it is safer here, probably more safe then with me anyway,"
katrea then walked out the room and said
"ok to the griffins and then to the island. lets see if shadow is waiting for us there."
katrea was filled with new resolve just the first day of joining he had learnt of his past, hopefully the future will open more of his past. he walked around the corner and back to where they saw the griffins.

Shadow burst through the doors where Avalus and katrea were.
"Hey guys sorry about that i had to go outside to smoke"
Shadow was abit out of breath but mentioned
"I saw a bar back there if you guys wanna go have a drink"
Shadow lite up a cigarette.............

katrea looked at shadow as he wondered around and spoke of getting yet another drink and having had yet another cigarette.
"You’re a very addictive guy aren’t you shadow? i am not getting a drink now, i want to be on my way, let us make haste."
katrea said moving away from shadow he wanted more then ever to get going. he moved down the hallway back to the winged beast that where waiting he looked around and some people in long robes with long sleeves were feeding the griffins. they seemed like good creatures but still monsters, katrea didn’t trust them. he stood there till the others showed. the two people with the griffins where woman and looked like trainers from the clothes, katrea was more reassured to know that the griffins where trained, but not much

"Well if your in that much of a hurry i suggest you hurry up. Avalus called down to Katrea. Shadow hovered alongside him on the griffon. You were so lost in thought we already mounted our griffins. Just get on they know where they are going."
Avalus thought to himself this kid has some strange issues but the quuuen seems to trust him.
Avalus waited for katre to embark.
"once you are on the griffons will take us sstraight to the island."

Shadow shouted "Hey ketrea, for someone thats in a hurry you sure take your time" He grinned.
Shadow's griffon roered and took off towards the sky for there next destanation.
"see you guys there!"

a griffen sat there waiting for a rider as katera stood. katrea jumped into the air with a spin and landed on the large saddle of the griffin. it crowed as katrea landed. quickly it ran off and out of the large doors of the hall. it's wings opened wide and it moved to the clouds. katrea then looked down as he gripped the rains tightly feeling sick.
"dam, why am i doing thissss"
he said as he shot off, the griffin knowing where it was going.
